*TRICK* delete INSTALLATION LOG for s60v3

For Hack phone only.....
-Turn on Secman/Rompatcher
-Open X-plore
-Go C:\Private\100012a5\DBS_10207216_SWInstLog.db and delete it....
-Go to app. mgr and view log...NO DATA:happy:

this trick is useful for PreFp1 phones.....N73 and N80 to be exact.....the thing was if you installed a theme and removed it....if you tired to reinstall it on the same drive you'd get an error cause in the log it would still be shown as installed..this also happened with apps sometimes and would cause problems in installing newer versions..now the only way was to clear the log was to format the phone....so this trick should be helpful to N73 and N80 users.....in later phones N95 and all this prob was fixed....but nice share man added rep added...

Yeah.....your phone will not damage if use this trick.

Lol.....you go to app. mgr. click option and view log.
You will see that your installation history NO DATA. This will effect after
delete C:\Private\100012a5\DBS_10207216_SWInstLog.db. If you not delete it, you will see like this => EXAMPLE

Remember!
After you install java/sisx/sis. Installation history will show at the app. mgr. in view log back. You must repeat this trick to clean the logs.

but after prolonged search, i stopped, because scroll key n73 is very fragile.

hey dear I have a comment on this if I have seen/noticed it correctly


after deleting this file I found problem with UNINSTALLING an application.
some Please give a try uninstalling a program. What i did was not to delete it but move it 2 mem card. after returning the file uninstalling was possible.
Please try n tell my result is wrong!!! bcoz i was doing something else also.

What app. you want to uninstall....? I use this trick and no problem occurs..
the file that delete is .db . It will not cause any problems.

Sorry, if I'm interupting U guys in this forum.....but the simple way that i use to delete my phone installation log is U just typing this code *#7370# and I'll guaranteed U 100% that U Just deleting perfectly all your phone installation log (everything) & make U'R phone like new from the cellular phone shop.....(I usually use this trick too if my phone having problem).......

Hey...I tried doing this using X-Plore but there is nothing inside c:\Private......... I mean, it shows the 'Private" folder as empty on my n73 ! But the Installation Log exists in my Application Manager.....

Thnx Bro.I am using N73me.I ecountred the problem of reinstalling themes.I tried the Nokia Customer Care but they simply fromat my phone.The problem still exist.Thnx to u.

One more ques. Some themes does not occur at App. Mgr. after installing.How to remove them.I don't want to format my phone.

Nice trick bro, but it is not working on E61 (s60v3).
The file is only on the phone, but when you delete it, the registry is already.
