PS2 error

hey, i have PS2 55006....
i want to play Persona 3 FES but the console say that 'disc read error'...
it happens with every game....
what happen to my PS2??
can someone share your knowledge to me?
what should I do?

Get your PS2 cleaned esp. from the inside. I'm suspecting their's dust on your reading lens.

Does the game wont start thats only display red screen?may i know when did u purchase ur ps2?coz for my ps2 that been bought for 5 years usually make that error..as the processor getting old and dirty..

i have cleaned the lens but nothing changed...
i bought it 4 years ago...
should I buy the new lens??
there is no red screen or anything, it just 'disc read error' when I choose browse...and it just memory card appear in the screen....

same with mine, the only thing i did i try brand new ps2 games then it works..
the error is in the cd..in case that the cd works in other ps2 console,
then the lens works a bit slow thats why the game wont start..
my suggestion, its the lens..

4 years for ps2 laser its like 90 years for human...
Buy new laser and simply replace it.
In my case it worked.
