Installing Unsigned Files

Ever tried to intall an amazing software "update" on your s60v3 device from Dotsis only to get certificate error because the file in unsigned?
Ever been frustrated by the lengthy and complicated (now impossible) file signing procedure from symbiansigned?



Ever scince symbiansigned closed its doors many of us have been dissapointed espeacially those who downloaded software from Dotsis. But now a method developed by Drakkarious here http://www.dotsis.com/mobile_phone/showthread.php?t=97941 (http://www.dotsis.com/mobile_phone/showthread.php?t=97941) from Dotsis addresses this very problem.This method is quite easy and very well explained in the attached guide but for some people like me it does not seem to work for some unknown reason.


This guide below explains how unsigned files may be installed without a certificate.









GUIDE


STEP 1
a) Install X-plore.sis on your phone.
b) Install Hellocarbide on your phone
c) Install secman.sis on your phone


STEP 2
a) Run X-plore, goto Menu>Tools>Configuration (or simply press 0)
b) Select Show Hidden Files, ROM drives, Ram Drives, sytem files/folders and press Back

STEP 3
a) Without closing X-plore switch to Standby and open HelloCarbide
b) Goto Option>Menu1. Then press Yes.

STEP 4
a) Switch back to X-plore
b) Open Patch.zip from C:\
c) Goto Menu> File>Extract to... and Select c:

STEP 5
a) Restart phone
b) Open secman
c) Goto options and select the SECOND option (yeah its in Arabic) and press left selection key.


Now you may install any unsigned release from BiNPDA.
For any other file just open rootsign on your pc and open the file that you want to install then select Rootsign This SIS!. Then just install the new file on your phone.

Well done bro, it works on me, eventhough not all unsigned program can be install because some still give me certificate error or constraint by certificate, why this still happen?

if u get certificate error on an unsigned app. then 'rootsign' the app using rootsign.exe. remember rootsig.exe works only on unsigned apps and not a file that has been previously signed like with an onld certificate from symbiansigned.
