my n73 dznt reads memory card... SOS

hi all
i hav n73 wid 2GB memory card... it waz working fine but few days back, i ejacted memory card n then wen i insrted it bak, it wz'nt read by fone.. important thing is that wen we insert da card in its slot, a clik sound is herd n then we release da card n it gets fit in that slot... but in this case, no clik sound is herd. card is inserted n widout any clik sound it gets fixd in its position, but still fone dznt reads it...
can anibody hlp me??? :cry:

this is just due to the reason that tht card is not pushed in it's place properly.

turn off your phone and do make sure to remove battery. again insert ur battery and push the card in it's slots. hear click. and switch on the phone. do it slowly n handle ur card with with care.

I hope tht it solve your problem.

if not let me know what happen or wot msgs u get... so we can do something to short out ur prob.

i tried it but no use... one thing!! when v insrt da card it is pushd bak a lil bit n then gets fixd at its position, it is may b due 2 some spring or anithing else... but in this case, wen i insrt da card, no spring action occurs n card gets insrtd widout ani pull... although fone dznt detcts its presence... :sweat:

ru sure its da prob in mem card... not in fone jacket??? :O if dats da case. then i can throw dat card n buy a new one... but ru sure "PINOY JR.MOD"??? :D

Try your mem card with other n73 phone. If same problem occurs then something is wrong with the memcard. Or take a good working memcard from somebody and insert it in your phone, and if the problem persists then there is something wrong with the phone memcard slot. I hope the point is clear. And hope that your problem is resolved.

Dude...first check your card in a card reader and computer. Most probably the card is fine.


And this problem of phone not reading the card is common in many s60v3 models. Mostly when the card is removed many times. Take a dry cotton and clean the card .turn off the phone and remove the battery. Clean the card slot using cotton attached to something thin (like a safety pin) but be very careful tht the metal pin does not touch any part of card slot (jacket) and only cotton is in contact. Restart the phone and then insert the card. If it is not recognised wait for an hour or so and reinsert the card. If in two tries the card is not recognised by the phone then your phone needs some repair.

Also remember that nokia phones have the most sensitive card reader slots among all phones. So use only Nokia , transcend or kingston (least preferred) cards and nothing else.

if the problem is not in your memory card then keep your MMC...do it vice versa...throw your phone bro...:victory:
