Map and GPS

Hi! all
I have a few questions
My phone have built in GPS and Nokia Map, but i dont really know how to use it. I just open it at home because it need a connection with internet. That is reason why i dont know how it works when i am out for something.
I wonder that is there any application help to save a local map, or a map of a city ....and the later we can open the map and use it out side without using GPS and internet connection ?

what phone do you have ? why dont you look for gps apps under the "Applications>GPS" section here on dotsis ..... as far as internet connection goes, you dont need to use AGPS.... and yes, you can browse the maps online once they are stored on your phone...

u can get nokia map loader app on ur pc and download the map for ur country then transfer it to your fone then u wont need to use internet connection to download parts of the map as you will have it all.

I tried it..and i got it on my phone..Did not try it yet..but i want to know that i just need to use Nokia map on my phone to open it..or i gotta use another app to open the map..

so u ave nokia maps on ur fone and u have used the map loader to download and transfer the map to fone. u dnt need any other apps now as u have the nokia maps app and the map on ur fone. if ur worried about getin charged for internet usage while using the app u can set the app not to go online at start up and set the default access point to search for wlan. now the app cannot go online unless thru a wlan which will not cost u anything. hope this helps

I have Nokia n95..I downloaded the map Us and saved it..but as i open the Nokia maps application, i could not find or open the map.Actually when i run Nokia map it appeared with a position that i have used GPS to indicate the last time i used it. ( i changed to Wlan). Could you please show me how to open the map.
