BUT I WANNA KNOW HOW TO CONFIGURE Telexy.Networks.SymSMB.v3.50.18.S60v3.SymbianOS9.1
VIA GPRS with my desktop remotely.


Millian thanks if u can guide me in this in configuring my desktop and symSMB3.50. i think in symSMB3.50 through gprs is automatic and 1 ip is generated but then how to use that ip to connect to my desktop having connected to internet with my E51 Cell phone remotely.

i do have internet connection of different ISP on phone and desktop.

Plz. explain.

ok that would be happen if u have a condition like this;
1. u have configure an ftp server / web server you desktop pc (windows/linux/whatever)
2. your GPRS has an excellent rate connection
3. for no.1 u must have a static public ip (ip from ISP) not a dynamic ip

at point 1, those are really long topic. so, give me your network details, what've you got, etc...

Thanks for reply and ur interest, you must be an engineer or cyber guy, otherwise its tough to think on this issue, as i have been trying to get this things done since last 3 months but no success to me.

Tell me what details u want from me and plz. i am not a technical guy so plz explain from where i get this information for u.

whatever little bit information i have are mentioned below :

ISP for desktop pc = reliance broadband, india
dynamic ip = 123.237.233.184, i know dynamic ip won't work but what if i know this ip and want put this ip for that particular internet session ??
Few other guess would be DDNS updater will help us to convert dynamic ip into static ip or something like that ??? or any other way ??

ISP for my E51 mobile is Airtel, India.
dynamic ip again i guess, but can i connect this if both ip are known to me for that particular session ?? This IP is generated by symSMB 3.50 only while it is connected to GPRS.

Any other way to connect to my PC if dynamic ip is known to me every time i wanna connect to my office and my office staff can make a call to tell the ip, if needed while i am out of office.

Plz. help to use this useful feature of symSMB 3.50
