OK here's how : :)
1. Install MsvDriveE.sis
2. It will change your SMS folder to MMC. If not, restart phone.
3. Now, the mail.db (or .dbx) is unlocked! Use a file manager and copy 'C:\System\Mail' folder onto MMC (somewhere, NOT E:\System\Mail !)
4. Turn off phone and remove MMC. Power on phone without MMC. Open 'Messages' once, it will turn SMS setting back on phone. Then turn off phone again.
5. If you have a card reader, delete folder 'System\Mail' on MMC. Then move the copied 'Mail' folder into 'System' folder. For example I copied the 'Mail' folder into 'Others' ... Now if you done this, skip to no. 7
6. If you don't have a card reader, reinsert MMC now, power on phone. Use a file manager, go to E:\System. Delete the 'Mail' folder. Move the copied 'Mail' (the other real one which we wanted to use) into E:\System. Hopefully you will suceed, as long as the phone has just restarted and you havent' opened 'messages' application or send/receive any messages. Be quick, though.
7. Reinsert MMC into phone and power on. Use filemanager, navigate to C:\System\Apps\MsvDriveE and click on MsvDriveE.app. It will reconfigure to use MMC for messages again.
You're done. Works for me for several hundred times over several hundred Ngage, QD and 6210's.

Just a doubt.....
so according to wat u say is dat once u paste d original MAIL folder ne wer in d mmc other than system\mail and foll d remaining procedures i'll be able to retain my old sms's without shifting d mail folder again???
Thanx for ya advice dude!! :D

You don't need this on a 6600. You can already set SMSes to be saved in the MMC card.
Messages>MMC>Options
Btw, I didn't know the 6260 does not allow you to save your SMS on the MMC card. That sucks. :(

I tried installing this software on my new N-Gage QD and it worked... I'm happy that you helped me with this problem faced by all N-Gagers... But I had a 6600 and I couldn't transfer my messages stored on MMC to N-Gage... If anyone can help me, I'll be thankful...
