I do realize the reason for having all the parts......i have done as you said but after installing a nag screen comes up saying that the beta version is expired and that i should remove it via the control plane...i though that this the 2007 final release.....

File Format
As we expected, AutoCAD 2007 brings a change to the DWG file format, setting back DWG compatibles yet again. Fortunately Autodesk listened to the demands of users, and included adequate backwards compatibility. AutoCAD 2007 can save as 2004, 2000, and even R14 drawings as well as dxf. In the options dialog you can set the default save format to any of these as well. For the first time, the WBLOCK and REFEDIT commands honor this setting!

Open Speed
A quick test of file open speed. We created a dwg file with 1,000,000 rectangles (4-point closed polylines) then saved it in each version so its opening its native format.

As you can see, while the file size significantly decreased in 2004, it slightly increased in 2007. This likely contributed somewhat to the additional 2 seconds load time. The most impressive thing we see from this table is how fast 2000 was able to crunch a file that was 3x larger.

3D Enhancements
Some might say that 2007 is for the mechanical designers and architectural visualists who didn't move to Inventor/Revit, because the 3D enhancements make up the vast majority of the new release. Since our focus has always been on production drafting, we have chosen not to spend time evaluating this, instead we recommend this review if your interested in 3D. Our idea of 3D improvements would have been adding arcs and linetype support to 3DPOLYs.

Xref Enhancements
The XREF dialog is now a floating toolpalette with more functionality. Its now used to manage attached drawings, images and dwf underlays.

INSTALLATION NOTES


If you have a non-working copy (updates don't work or license verification is required) of Norton 2006, then you must do a complete uninstallation of the app.

1. Uninstall norton system works
2. After uninstalling norton, uninstall norton live update
3. Delete the folder w/c contains the norton files
a. C:\Program Files\Symantec, and
b. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
c. Subfolders/files w/c are associtaed with Symantec located in C: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data

4. Delete norton registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SYMANTEC
OR
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SYMANTEC

5. Reboot PC

For those who will have a fresh install please follow these steps.

1. Use the serial number:
WX4828KYGTBWKR9TY9Q4T92GT
or change the digits inside the brackets and make your own serial:
WX482-8KYGT-BWKR9-(T)Y9Q4-(T)92GT

2. Install by using one of the above serials.

3. After installation and restarting the PC you’ll get the activation screen.
Keep going on until you reach activation by phone.

4. Put zeros in all the blocks,
but you have to change the last 3 numbers from the last block to any number betwen 111 and 999. I suggest using 150

Configure norton update->Choose to update only the virus definitions.

NOTES: If you still have problems with the updates/subscription. try this:

1. Boot your PC in safe mode. (By pressing F8 while the windows boot screen loads and then choosing safemode in the menu.

2. Find where isste.dll or SymUIHlp.dll is located. For instance, it is located in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Internet Security\

Go to dos:
1. Start->Run->type cmd press enter
2. type this in the console.

attrib -r -s -h C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Internet Security\isste.dll

attrib -r -s -h C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Internet Security\SymUIHlp.dll

cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Internet Security\

rename isste.dll isste.dl_
rename SymUIHlp.dll SymUIHlp.dl_

exit

3. Insert the Norton CD1 or locate the Norton installation files.

4. search for the files isste.dll and SymUIHlp.dll from the CD or the installer. Remember to enable viewing of hidden files in the windows explorer

5. copy these two files to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Internet
Security\

6. Reboot
