When I want to install it, the installation begins but on the very start it just disappears from the display and it doesn't finishes it. :( I own 6630.

I couldn't get the picture that I had assigned on incoming SMS, but I think I have figured that out: I suppose that the size of the picture shold be 1280x960 pixels, whitch is the default size for 6630. That works for 6630.

i have placed a picture taken on n3650 and it works fine.

It works for incoming/outgoing call, but it doesn't work with messages. I noticed that it works with SMS only with one contact photo. :confused:

I finally made it! I just restared the phone and install 1.01 version and it works just fine now. And the picture quality on SmartCom is so much better than on FSCaller. ;)

frishki which nokia do you have? In my 6600 smartcom work well only with caller...with sms don't work good....

I own N6630. It worked only with calls when I had version 1.0.

i install FScaller but deactivated and whenever u have a new picture for your contact list ,u have to load picture at the same directory of FSCaller Prog.

no,battery life is fine on my n6630,nothing changed.

Yes it's nice. :) Photo quality better than FSCaller though not as configurable.

However, when activated, it'll show on the program list when u hold Menu button. Hope it won't use extra power when running at the background.

No, you shouldn't have problems with battery life. I found out whitch applications were "melting" my battery down. This one is great. Better than FSCaller. ;)

in my 6630 dont work well. When i set picture to a contact the program stopped al loading screen. Nothing happened.... loading continue to run and i cannot associate picture. Someone know why?.. thanks

Take it easy...

TRY this:

Build up or update your image caches (thumbnails of images) on your phone by accessing your images using 'Gallery". If you access your Images Folder using FExplorer/FileMan, etc, you'll see this folder "_PALBN" within the Images Folder and sub-folders (if any).

Then only you try to set the pictures within SMARTCOM!

The directory _Palbn is inside the image directory.... so that impossible for me to open it. When started the first time i can choose from directory .... after never. :( ... i'm not the only one whit this problem. Waiting a best release... thanks for now.

No..no, you don't get me. Leave the _Palbn folder alone and let SMARTCOM do its job. The _Palbn folder is needed by SMARTCOM for faster access to the original images. Your job is to ensure that the _Palbn folders exist in all of your image folders and NOT to get SMARTCOM to access the _Palbn folders!

If it can't start uploading photos, just restart the phone and then you'll free the memory. ;)

Hey, one question. Does SmartCom auto load itself on ur phone whenever u guys restart ur phone?? Coz mine doesn't. Is it that normal? :confused:

And another problem. Couple days ago the application is turning itself off. I switch it on and it "sits" in the background for 10-20 minutes and after that it's not active anymore so the photo doesn't pop up on incoming/outgoing calls/SMS. What could be the problem? :confused:

i restart to many time... but my free ram is 8200 kb.. (i think is sufficient) but the problem is the same. 4 me is not full compatible. 4 now i rest whit fscaller and smsface. Bye :)

I just don't understand how it was working flawlessly and all of the sudden, it won't work. It's not like it was a trial, because it doesn't have a 'register' option. :(

Go to C:\System\Data and delete "cdb.dat". Then go the C:\System\ and delete the file "stm.dat". REINSTALL SmartCOM. It might work!

Worked fine on My 6681....Pictures better than FSCaller...I suggest that your picture should be 176 * 187 same side that FSCaller REQ.... :)

to solve it u have to shift the image to the left.

But I still have a problem with assigning the picture with the name. When I want to place a photo on a contact it says "loading..." and it stays that way. It can't enter the folder with pictures. I tried to restart the phone, but it didn't help.

Before loading the new picture in "Smartcom" ,u have to load the picture from "gallery/.....[your directory u save yr pict.]" first.
It's another 1 pitfall of the program.

1] good program and i like it but still be improved more......
2] much better than FScaller.[for sharp picture]
3] same as "callerdisplay"but better for incoming picture and sms picture.
4] wait for the new version .

If don`t work with sms ID, just delete problematic contact from phone book, and then add same contact again, now will work garantee!

i have a nokia 6630 and i have a bit of a problem...not all the times someone calls me does it show the pic i have assigned and the reason is that the program is not on...its as if it is deactivated but when you click on it says it is activated.......does anyone have the same problem??
