No, they are not needed for uploading. They are needed after you have installed the application and register it.

Downloaded using the abovementioned link, installed on E61 & registered using the code in the 1st post...

Application crashed after successfully registering it. Had to exit it using the Task Manager. Then restarted the app...

Looked up the word "scholastic"... got what I wanted. Very cool!
