Why "RAR" instead of "ZIP"

Hello Forum,

I have a Nokia N80 and I am travelling a lot around europe with it.
(no PC or Laptop nearby)

So on the evenings I am surfing with the N80 Opera browser also to this forum to look for new applications (SISx) and games (SISx).

Since there is no "UnRar" for N80 i cannot install programs on it. :(

It would be very helpful to pack the applications with "ZIP" because then it is possible to install programs (with handy-zip) without using a PC or Laptop. :o

Yes I am backing you up on this one. I also had this problem many times. Be sure noone will listen and they'll keep on posting RAR. But, why not directy the JAR or the SIS? I will never understand this.
