solution for the problem in case of a symbian phone has already been widely discussed. Yet,there are few technical problems in this regard with a smart phone. Because the working principles are fairly different from a symbian phone. Here is a pdf document applicable for a symbian o s. Can anybody find a similla solution for a smart phone?

Do you know why my SP keeps telling me I'm still on a data call, even 10 minutes after I closed Internet Explorer? And it stilll charges me for those "Unused" KBs...

Specifications:

Phone: Voq Mobile Phone
OS: WM2003
Service provider: Cingular Wireless GPRS (US)

Soo cool that you started a Technical Support Thread. Thanks

dear Gabox, i m sorry to reply u late, actually my exams r on.

1. Do you find any other Cingular user is having any simillar problems?
Source of the problem, as u hav briefed may be two:

Lets solve the prob in an interractive fashion.

A. the network is not closing its data sevice, inspite of your request. &
B. your handset is unable to send the "end session" request.

Now considering the service quality in US, its verry crazy to imagine that a service provider like Cingular is not accepting the "end session" request.

So, the next thing remaining is your handset, i am afraid to assume that your much-beloved handset needs software upgradation/ correction. if you r going within your warrany period, you will get it free from your service center.

But, before thinking of that ugliest possibility, what i suggest u is that, try with another service provider, conviniently, using sim card from your friends,

Good luck, i know you will solve it yourself. thats the way, i want to arrange this forum, plz contribute.

Actually yes. While looking up what you told me over the net, I found that the Smartphones of this kind have a bug, esay to fix with an installation of a second-party plug-in. I did, and now it works perfectly. Greetings:hand:
