default browser not working

Hi,
just bought O2 xda neo(having dopod rom), working fine but im unable to open any page/site in IE.
I made new My ISP conection etc with service providers APN and even it successfully connects to GPRS but on opening any page/site in IE it displays msg
"The page cannot be found. Check the name and try again"
for every page.
fortunately i installed Netfront 3.3 for ppc and in that there r options to set proxy/port just as we use in every symbian devices to connect to GPRS. With Netfront 3.3 now im able to surf.
Problem will be solved if we could get setted proxy/port in Internet Explorer( default browser).But threr r no options to set proxy/port in it.

This type of lack of proxy/port setting is also in Netfront 3.3 for symbian based device ( i wonder why they forgetten it for symbian version ,on the other hand it is available in ppc version). To fix that, one uses hex editor to manually write the proxy/port in its ini file. and it works.

btw opera 8.6 too is working. all with Idea and Hutch both.
Please give some solution for Internet Explorer to work

Bro take it to hutch Shop...........But i guess the problem is in Rom As u have flashed ur phone for differnt rom so may b its not compatiable........

Hi! its sorted out like this
(1)settings > connections > Advanced > Select Networks > New...
at this stage 'My ISP name' screen will be displayed, in this
(2)(a)General-> enter any name for these settings,
(b)Modem > New...( in this )
(I)Give any name for connection
(II)Select Cellular Line (GPRS) tap next
(III)Give Access Point name of ur operator tap next
(IV)left these parameters if ur not on Uname/passw. Finish
(c)Proxy Settings ( in this screen)
(I)check the box.. "This network connects to Internet"
(II)check the box.."This network....proxy sever...Internet"
(III)set your proxy/port like this
10.4.42.15:8080 (Idea India) (or ur opertors)
10.10.1.100:9401 (Hutch India)
Now select Advanced.. in the same screen
(IV)set ur proxy/port here for protocals(HTTP,WAP,HTTPS )
as provided by ur opertors
Now its done for default browser and ready to surf.
I think i'v explained too much but may be helpful for newbee like me
