et’s start…. What do we need to convert our movies to DivX? We need a converter software. There is a converter software, called DivX Converter, from the official DivX web site. It’s not free, but you can download the trial version from their web site.
Another software, which is a freeware and also my favorite converter, is SUPER. It supports many different input formats, such as MPEG-2, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, etc. Here is the step to convert your videos to be played on DivX Player for Mobile.
* Download SUPER from their website.(http://www.erightsoft.com/Superdc.html)
* Drag and drop your video to SUPER.
* Use the following settings for DivX Player for Mobile.

* Output container: avi
* Output video codec: MPEG-4 (you can also select DivX or XviD)
* Output audio codec: MP3
* Encoder: FFMPEG
* Video
o Video scale size: 320×240
o Aspect: 4:3
o Frame/sec: 15 (you may change to higher frame/sec, e.g. 25, for better video quality)
o Bitrate kbps: 336 (you can use higher bit rate, but the video may skip when played on DivX)
* Audio
o Sampling freq: 22050
o Channels: 2
o Bitrate kbps: 56
* Click Encode (Active Files) button to start encoding. When SUPER asks for FourCC, select XviD.
OK. Now you have your video in DivX format. Transfer it to your phone and enjoy it…. :)
Compatible device: S60 1st, 2nd, 3rd Edition, Nokia N-Series, Nokia E-Series.
