There is a technique to catch a rare pokemon even if you only have one pokeball. As soon as you encounter a rare pokemon, save the game (using Vboy emu) to another slot (say number 2 if you are using number 1: this is for back up purposes, I'll explain later).

Then fight the rare pokemon, if something happens like all your pokemon fainted, just load the game save 2, and you can fight the pokemon again.

If the rare pokemon gets weak, save the game on slot 3, then use pokeball. If the pokemon escapes, just reload and reload game save 3 until he is caught.

I do this all the time.



Note: Do not save the game when the pokemon is in the middle of a move, it may hang your game. But if you save whenever the screen prompts you to a move (not during the move) it is perfectly safe to save.

Bro you can find a Seadra in the 4 island at the sea inside the 4 caves, just try to explore all the water & waterfalls you can encounter seadra then it will just evolve to Kingdra...goodluck:hand:

Bro you can find a Seadra in the 4 island at the sea inside the 4 caves, just try to explore all the water & waterfalls you can encounter seadra then it will just evolve to Kingdra...goodluck:hand:

OK

Step 1: switch on bluetooth on phone A and Phone B
Step 2: Select Link with these options: Delay 3, Port 6, Joypad auto, Mode SERIAL
Step 3: Phone A select HOST, phone B select Join. B has to find A with bluetooth, A has to accept connection.
Step 4: Phone A select Start

NOW phone A and B are connected with bluetooth, and they can now battle or exchange pokemon ;)

Pokémon si evolvono solo se vengono scambiati mentre tengono un

Metalcoperta, Roccia di Re, Squama Drago e Upgrade. In questo caso
lo scambio può solo avvenire tra versioni Oro e Argento; non è
possibile effettuarlo con le versioni Rossa, Blu, e Gialla.

Metalcoperta: Onix -> Steelix
Scyther -> Scizor

Roccia di Re: Poliwhirl -> Politoed
Slowpoke -> Slowking

Squama Drago: Seadra -> Kingdra

Upgrade: Porygon -> Porygon2


-Amicizia: altra novità importantissima. Alcuni Pokémon si evolvono
solo quando la loro amicizia supera il valore di 218 (vedere la
sezione "Amicizia"), e sono:

Golbat -> Crobat
Chansey -> Blissey
Pichu -> Pikachu
Cleffa -> Clefairy
Igglybuff -> Jigglypuff
Togepi -> Togetic

Eevee è un caso particolare, perché, una volta che la sua amicizia
ha raggiunto un livello sufficiente, si evolve in modo differente a
seconda che sia mattina/giorno o notte.

Eevee -> Espeon (mattina/giorno)
Eevee -> Umbreon (notte)


-Tyrogue è un Pokémon speciale che, a livello 20, ha 3 possibilità di
evoluzione.

Se Attacco > Difesa, Tyrogue -> Hitmonlee
Se Attacco < Difesa, Tyrogue -> Hitmonchan
Se Attacco = Difesa, Tyrogue -> Hitmontop

Pertanto, raggiunto il livello 19, Attacco e Difesa di Tyrogue vanno
"regolati" con Proteine e Ferri per raggiungere valori tali da
permettere l'evoluzione desiderata.


-Infine, alcuni Pokémon non si evolvono mai.

pokedex is used to gather the informations about the pokemon you have seen and where to find them. for example, if you managed to see a pidgey in the wild, open the pokedex and look for pidgey and then click the area where you can locate it. is this clear?

now, about scizor, scizor is the evolved form of scyther. you can only get it if you trade it with metal coat.

ho-oh can be catch in this mod and even in the original pokemon crystal. you have to catch all the legendary beasts ( entei, suicune, and raikou), after you've caught them, go to tin tower and three persons will let you in to catch ho-oh.

i don't know where the legendray birds are, i just know articuno. he's at the right of veremillion city. catch at night.:victory:

if i'm not mistaken, cause i've finished it a long time ago, waterfall can be get
in the Ice Path (Mahogany Town side). just search it there. about ho-oh, just try and try. maybe that happened because of this different mod.

silverwing helps you trace lugia..the legendary pokemon on johto at whirl islands.. to go to kanto,you nid to first win at the pokemon league..when you've already won,prof elm will give you a ticket to go to vermillion city and there you will encounter too many quests to go to pewter city like solving the problem at the power plant..getting the poke doll at vermillion city to give to copy cat(when you've done this quest,she will give you a passport for the magnet train).. at first,the magnet train isn't fix yet because there is a problem at the powerplant..

once you've finnish the power plant problem,go to the radio tower.. the director there will give you a card so that you can play the poke flute song on your poke gear..then go to snorlax..open your poke gear and tune in to the poke flute song..after that click on snorlax and it will say "the poke gear was placed near the sleeping snorlax" then snorlax will attack.. after catching it or defeating it,go to diglet's cave and then it will lead you to pewter city

is that solves all?? ;)

On gold and silver versions,the golden wing will be given by the old man from pewter city.. On crystal version,the silver wing was replaced instead of the golden wing because like wat i said on the other post,the silver wing was replaced by the clear bell that will be given by the radio tower director on goldenrod city(only if you'd finnish the quest there)..get it?? ;)

just like to comment on catching the ho-oh.. well based on my experience . i caught ho-oh.. i just caught the 3 beast.. and went to the tin tower.. when i entered there the monks talked to me about the legendary bird something and a stair appeared at the back part. if you climb up there are mazes which you jump on, many items are also scattered everywhere so best to pick them up.. when you reach the top you will see a temple like roof walk up then ho - oh is there. you dont need the golden feather. just the 3 beast.:goldcup:

uhmm about the ruins of alph.. at the back of the puzzles there are figures right?? try to read it.. the unknowns only represent a letter.. youll see their shape like letter P or M etc.. so try read.. i remember like escape where you just use escape rope.. you will exit the ruins.. go back again then a hole will appear.. go there and presto.. items.. ^^ i solved all the ruins but they only convey a message.. i think there is no something special there :att:

well yes it is on this mod as well ^^ i just caught ho - oh today. well yeah its a hard job to catch the 2 other beast but its worth it ^^.. i caught 2 two other beast with this kind of strategy.. go to the place where the tree pokemon was standing.. at route 36 there is a small grass near Alan the school boy use repel then just walk in circles there. if the repel was worn off go to route 37 then do the same there. ^^ well it took me a long time but i manage to catch both. ^^ this strategy came from a fan site and i tried it out. well i manage to catch. ^^ try also route 38 ^^

XXXXX, UNDO, MAKE, KEEP, OBSERVE, VANISH, HELP, DIRECT, CHASE, ZOOM, FIND, NUZZLE, YIELD, REASSURE, WANT, LAUGH & QUIKEN...

vulpix is on route 30 bro... stones are hard to find..too bad for this version of pokemon,stones cannot be bought anymore.. On the old versions(red,blue,green,yellow),stones can be bought on celadon city..thats y its hard to complete the eevee evolutions on this version..but in this mod,you can catch eevee many times! ahmmm..w8.. isn't there a cheat on duplicating items? just complete all the stones and duplicate each one of them! :bud:

kings rock isn't use to evolve pokemon..i think it just boosts up rock type or normal moves...either non-mod or mod version,the same items are still there.. I'm not focusing on the stones..i just pick up items..don't even care if it is a stone... :p sory if i can't answer your question..the only thing that i can recall is the moon stone that is in the union cave..near the ruins of alps..

On the whirld island near olivine city... :guns: just surf inside each cave and eventually youll find staryu.... the only thing missing from me is mew. btw youll find lapras every friday at union cave. About the three legendary dog just find it wandring near route 36, 37, near the milk house or anywahere where there's grass. Be patience on this because youll spend a lot of time finding the other 2 entie and raiku. Anyway once you spot or meet one of them, fire up your pokedex and youll see that raiku and entei can be found on the map, and you can find them with ease by just using the pokedex.

OK to get ho-oh you must have the rainbow wing which the wise trio have given after you have defeated them and of course the three legendary dogs. If you do have them youll gain access to the stair that will lead you to ho-oh on top of the tower. Just be careful on this one because its really a big maze of stairs and jumps. There are many items on the floor so if you can have them all go get them.

:cop: I know everyone wants to know how to catch lugia, first you have to have all 8 badges of the jhoto leage and have already finished the jhoto pokemon leage. After that finished off the first gym which is Brocks gym in pewter city. Then talk to the man near the entrance and he will give you the silver wing to catch lugia. Head back to the whirl island and look for lugia there. Cant give the exact details on this since it was really really hard to memorize that four island. Anyway its just on the left most part of the four island.

"How to beat the Battle Tower"
This placehas some rules that can make battling much more difficult. If you have ever played Pokémon Stadium 2, you'll notice the similarites. The hardest thing about it can be that you have to use pokémon at certain levels. This means that your pokémon won't have much of an edge in battle, even with type match-ups. For the lower levels, though, there is an easier way to win. Use attacks like Dragonrage that inflict a set amount of damage. Sonicboom will work as well, but it only inflicts 20, while Dragonrage does 40. Spinarak can learn Sonicboom as an egg move. Yanma learns Sonicboom at level 19. Put that Yanma with a female Spinarak.

Dragonrage can be learned by Charmander and Dratini as an egg move. At the level 10 and level 20 battles, Dragonrage will KO most opponents easily.

While Sonicboom and Dragonrage are not allowed in the Petite Cup of Pokémon Stadium 2, there is no restriction on these attacks at the Battle Tower in Pokémon Crystal.

In the way you named your pokemons, I deduced you are a Filipino. I am too. Taal na taga-Bulacan. :dance:


I do not intent to doubt the veracity of some people's claim here that they
caught mewtwo, but I am inclined nevertheless to do so. It's because:

1. When you check the pokedex, it seems mew is the second to the last on the list (Celebi being the last) [using the New Pokedex Mode in the Option menu]. If mewtwo is in the list, I believe he should be right after mewtwo in the evolutionary stage just like the other pokemons. No place for mewtwo after mew.

2. Nobody had the guts to post/upload their savefile with mewtwo.

i got a level 167 POLIWRATH at tohjo falls.. catch it at day.. im surprised thats its that high leveled.. i caught it with just 1 pokeball!! tnx 4 the locations of mew and mewtwo!! BTW poliwrath has a very unusual super high stats..

A forum is a community where members help each other. If you find a rare pokemon (or a pokemon believed that will evolve only thru trade) and caught them in the wild, might as well post them here.



I still haven't caught Suicune. Both Entei and Raiku appear on the map but Suicune is not there. I passed on the opportunity to catch him in the Tin Tower believing he will still be catchable in the wild.


Please somebody post a save file with Suicune so I can trade him over to my game. Thanks!

I have steelix but I didn't catch him. As soon as I got Metal Coat I duplicated my savefile with Onix on it. Then I transferred the savefile to another phone. I traded my duplicated Onix (holding a Metal Coat) to my original Onix, and as soon as I got him he evloved to Steelix. Hope this helps

Red Gyarados(the one in lake of rage coz it has better stat than normal - Hyper Beam, Thunder, Hydro Pump, Fire Blast= "Holds FOCUS BAND"

Tyranitar - Earthquake, Hyper Beam, Crunch, Rock Slide "Holds QUICK CLAW"

Snorlax(the star player)- Hyper Beam, Body Slam, Sleep Talk, Rest "Holds LEFTOVERS"

OR (u can replace gyarados with espeon if u are pro enough) Psychic, Shadow Ball, Mud Slap, Morning Sun

FOCUS BAND prevents fainting for a pokemon.. use on gyarados coz hes the starter!! u need to damage good early.. QUICK CLAW for tyranitar.. coz hes slow.. u need 1st attack.. and LEFTOVERS for snorlax.. coz he has high HP.

1st up in the line up is Gyarados!! coz it has all the skills to counter every pokemon type.. dba?? Tyranitar is effective against fire,psychic,flying,lightning types,, and snorlax!! of course ur main char!! just body slam ur way to victory.. and also use hyper beam wisely 4 all pokemons.. coz it has a 1 turn delay.. if snorlax is gonna die just use rest and sleeptalk!! sleeptalk casts random moves!! just damage the opponent and if ur gonna die again rest.. just do it again and again..

but ur main problem with this lineup is MACHAMP and PRIMEAPE.. they can KO u in a single move.. thats why im replacing gyarados with espeon.. coz psychic types are effective on fighting types!! but u can finish the battle tower with gyarados in ur lineup..

i suggest u start battle tower at level 60!! so that as u go to higher levels di ka mabibigla na ang lakas ng pokemon ng kalaban!! hahaha.. the statboosters are important to win at battle tower.. u can buy them at goldenrod mart.. i think its 9800 each.. u can give a single pokemon a maximum of ten!! 4 short give ur pokemon 10 carbos, 10 protein, 10 iron, 10 calcium and 10 hp ups.

CARBOS-increases speed
PROTEIN-increases attack
IRON-increases defense
CALCIUM-increases specials
HP UP-increases life

this doesnt guarantee 100% win.. it depends on how u control ur pokemon!! and ur knowledge against pokemon types.. what type is effective against other types!! if u have further questions just ask me.. ill be happy to help!!

This means the sea-routes 40,41,19,and 20; no-grass-routes 12 and 23; and exemption-route 28 wild pokemon encounters would not be listed because they have not been modified. kababayan, just walk straight after you've battled the first sage. walk until the second sage approach you. battle him. walk straight again. then do this until you reach the leader.:applaus:

Does this mean... Kingdra is really missing from the game? I was thinking that Kingdra might be obtainable by fishing (or headbutting trees LOL!)since Pokemon from trees and from the Rods don't appear on the pokedex. And can you check for the location of heracross?? I've been looking for it for days but i can't seem to find one at the trees outside the cave near ecruteak.

*Can now encounter hard-to-get-by pokemons in the grassy areas. Simply put, you can catch all pokemons in this version. Sea routes, caverns, and passages have no modified encounters. For the list of pokemons you can encounter in the wild, a link is provided below.

I've removed the tweaked version of the game. But all recent modifications with the game are included via a patch file. Patch files are less hassles since they are only small. Anyway, if ever I'll be updating, I'll just be uploading the patch files.

How to patch (for dummies :p):

1. Download the Crystal Mod game and extract it. You should have the .gbc file for the game. If you have the tweaked edition you can also use it. In fact you can use any Crystal rom :) .

2. Download the patch file (the one with the "patch" word on it). Extract it.

3. Download "Lunar IPS.zip" and extract its contents.

4. After extracting, run the program (its Lips.exe).

5. Choose "Apply IPS Patch".

6. You'll be prompted to "select the patch file". Go select the patch file you downloaded and extracted in step 3.

7. You'll then be prompted to "select the file to patch". Select the file you've extracted in step 1. It's basically the ROM itself.

8. And you're done with patching, really simple isn't it? Now your game is updated with my modifications.

Added a patched version of game for those who use their mobile phones in surfing. (Thanks to TimePolice for pointing that out, haven't realized it till now. Sorry for the inconvenience.)

Yes you can. Consider this game as a normal Crystal game where you can use the pokemone/item clone glitch.

Ahhh... you don't have to... Any Crystal version save-state works perfectly with this mod... Just either have the game renamed to match the save-state filename or the save-state renamed to match that of the rom name...
