I have a problem with Symantec. From some time the app doesn't run properly - it shows : virus definitiosn can' t be started - your installation is corrupted, Please reinstall...The matter is that the reinstalation doesn't not solve the problem. Any ideas ?

Is it really april 13, 2007? Latest definition for norton is april 12, 2007. When I tried to install it it's april 12 and not 13.

Its April 13 in my 6681. I guess due to time zone differences, you are seeing April 12. Also, if you look at the scr shots, its April 13.

hey bro! are you sure this is a latest virus definitions? as far as i know is that there should only be 2 files to be find. inyour post, i can find 3files. there shouldnt be a file that will go to the drive/programs

hey bro! are you sure this is a latest virus definitions? as far as i know is that there should only be 2 files to be find. inyour post, i can find 3files. there shouldnt be a file that will go to the drive/programs

One file is a .sis file (containing two files when you install)

the other one also contains two files that should be manually cut and pasted to the Symantec directory using FExplorer.

Choose which one you like to get.

Dude the first file(*.sis) is for automatic installation. Now since the automatic installation did not work for you, you will have to download the second zipped file.
Using any unzipping software, like winzip, unzip the file and you will find two files. Now connect your mobile to the computer and I hope you have got the PC Suite installed on your computer.
Now copy those unzipped file to your mobile and remember the location where you copied them. I would suggest copy them to E:\ for simplicity.
Now you should have software called FExplore or any File Manager on your phone installed. If you don't have then get one and if you do have then follow the following steps:
1) Turn OFF Firewall and the Auto Protect feature in Symantec.
2) Open your File Manager software and copy the two files that you stored earlier in E:\ to C:\System\Apps\symcs. If you are prompted to overwrite those files then go ahead and overwrite them.

And thats how you update your Symantec.
