hargs48 warned for spamming

hi.......

we all might have seen hargs48 posting in all the threads
but today i have removed nearly 275 post of his as all where just spam
his all post contains just thanks or work great on my n71/n73/ and lately n70 also:eek:
he only likes to post and we will hardly find him using the thanks or rep+ button in any post to appreciate the poster for his work

so this is the first and final warning for hargs48 if he again does the same thing he will be banned

i could have removed even more post but did not as his 95% ofpost has the same stuff :love:
so i did not remove them all as or else he would have been left with very less post :lol:

good desision bro...hargs is olny replying with "good post","thanks","work great on my N73" etc etc...and this contrangs spaming and i hope that he will not spaming anymore for his good,and i hope in the future he will post with quallity stuff ex some app,games etc etc...

Dearest DotSIS members

Guys come on,I think you should hear my side of the story before you wrongfully accuse me of spamming.If you look clearly I always click,(and always click) on the "Thanks" button if the post was benficial,and I have posted many useful post of apps,games & themes in the S60 3rd Edition section,as you can see by my decent rep power.I have also helped many fellow DotSIS users with problems that they may have occured and got Thanked for the help I gave.


The main reason why I have posted many replys with "working fine on my N73" etc is cos many of our members have a N73 and my post can help them out knowing that the specific file will work with their N73.I sometimes get thanked from N73 owners because of my comments reguaring the app for the benefit of N73 owners.

No one has every accused me of spamming.I also try to keep DotSIS spam-free by telling the many members who have posted content that was there before.I myself have not posted previous content.It is not my intention of spaming at all.

I think this warning totally is unfair as I am am a honest,good natured & proud DotSIS member who has a passion for symbian devices.

Let us all work & share in the DotSIS community...:tea:

Update:the mods on DotSIS are really treating me unfairly here,one example being,2 weeks back I made a valuble post of SmartMovie v3.40 PC Converter app in the Movie/Music section by the S60 V3 apps sections,and now its been removed,what for?.I had recieved many thanks and good comments as it not been posted before after the reset occured.
Also I have made valuble postings today about playing mophun games on S60 V3 phones and its been deleted,this is unfair guys...:(

I honestly think I am making a postive contribution to this great site and this is the thanks I get after 9 months of loyal membership...there are many members who are posted apsolute crap,like "please sign this app" and so forth and I get a warning for my contributions...please lets make my posts and profile like it was before or remove posts that are not useful to members and I whill make a change and "spam" less...I am deeply upset about this...:grr:

I do agree to some extent with hargs48. Although most of his posts may read "Works fine on my N73", it is helpful, as people do come to know what works or what does not.

The same post is carried out even in unsigned apps threads, and thats where I think they are the most useful. Else, we might have had 25 replies which state "Certificate Error..Blah...Blah".Also, I have seen threads where users ask "Is this cracked?" "Will it work?" "Is this full version?" etc etc. Again, thats where I think hargs posts help.

But, posting them in each and every Java Games thread is not recommended by me, as its a simple task to load and run java games, and will work on all phones (Provided the user hasnt trashed his phone/Doesn't know his OS/Screen Res etc. But, thats totally different)

Although, I must say, Hargs, I am amazed at the speed you change your phones, sometimes downgrading them. (No bad thing, I am just wondering).

Regarding deleting of his threads, I am totally unaware of it, as I am no longer a mod and can view the activity log. I think thats best left to the mods concerned.

I think the warning is a bit too harsh.I think a "soft warning" via PM would have served the purpose, as I do think that hargs is a good member on this forum.

P.S.: All this is totally my personal, totally unbiased opinion. In the end, I will go with what the Senior Staff say, as its their job to maintain this beatiful site. My job is to assist, and thats what I am doing.

I do understand what both of the fellow DotSIS members (elboymaster & SSGupta) are saying about keeping and maintaining a high standard here at DotSIS and I am all in favour of that,but I just feel I have been unfairly treated,I also do fully aggree though with SSGupta that the mods of this great forum should have rather sending me a "soft warning" via PM,I would have then replied immedialtly and make a change and "spam" less...rather warn or ban members who really spamming and leaching...

The real problem I have is the way the whole process was handled (in my opinion it was to harsh),whereby everyone gets to see my "warning" and then the mods (who I do admire for the work they have done at DotSIS) accusing me of incorrect info reguarding not "giving thanks" (I always give thanks just look & see) and "continous spamming" (again not my intention) and also removing sum 250 odd of my post,(I understand about removing some cos of useless info,but I find it hard to believe that 250 is utter crap), and finally that 95% of my postings is the same stuff,is really unfair...:(

Becase of this removal I am now a DotSIS "Good Poster" instead of prievously being "DotSIS Contributor". This was done all after the reset so its got nothing to do with the reset...

ok i was wrong let augstine be back and let him see
i even replied to his post that plzz dont post uselessly but he still continued and also it was a soft warning i did not add a official warning to his user name as elboymaster had {given by hime}

and do u think people at binpda and other cracking groups are nuts that they had not checked the application before releasing so we at dotsis need hargs48 comment before using it
u will not find anything of such kind in any other forum {if u doo find plzz let me know}

and that also means i have 4 phone now after posting a game or application i willl create 4 different post and tell that the application i posted will compatible with all the phones i have

and about the waring as u say elboymaster {a mod on dotsis} still has it in his profile plzzz see it

hargs48 every relace from BiNPDA,SyMPDA,....and other cracking groups are tested and i really think that you are good guy but you are lil bit spamy and i think that coments it is working on binpda relace is unsless and this contages spam...and you can post in case if someone post is a fake,or it contags a virus to warn other members that to not download.....

My rep points is now standing at 122 and just yesterday it was 152,thats a good 3 or 4 days after my warning,this is unfair,cos I worked hard to get that rep points.You dont get rep points from spamming and posting useless info,I got its cos I helped fellow DotSIS members & they gave me Thanks.I would apperciate if my rep power is restored to how it was before...:doh:

Check your User CP. You'll know why your rep has decreased.
Mujtaba has negatively repped you. Since his Rep Power is so high, your rep has decreased so much.
