kc ang wi-fi d2 eh may modem pa sya na nakasaksak sa phone line at sa kuryente pero wla na kailangan na cable para sa pc to modem. Wi-fi din itong gamit ko.

Ang alam ko di pede yung change-ip through unplugging ng modem pag-nka-network ung pc mo like sa comp. shop kasi magiging static n ung ip mo... d bale n lng cguro kung mag-down ung network at sa next reboot e bigyan ng bagong ip... anyway, d na aq ng-ttry magdl sa hosting sites kasi parang nabibilisan aq sa torrent, like napapunta lahat sakin ng bandwidth ng comp. shop.

OFFTOPIC (Gusto ko lang ikwento...): N-dload aq ng CS3 Extended nung isang araw using torrent, nkaabot ata aq ng 200Kbps dload rate, ang saya-saya... Maya-maya, biglang sumigaw ung owner ng shop na naglalaro ng online game ng "SINONG NG-You2Tube?!". (dial-up lang gamit ko sa bhay, bukid kasi samin kaya sa labas aq ng-ddload). Minimize ko agad uTorrent sabay bukas ng DotSIS para kunwari browse lang aq at hindi aq ang salarin... Hehe, yun lang, medyo mababaw, pero at least mahaba ang post ko, sulit ang piso...

Suggestion for those who are downloading through RAPIDSHARE.

If you are using a router or just a plain modem (except for PLDT users) (and those who are on static IP address) you dont have to switch off/on your modem or router and wait for a couple of minutes and turning the equipment back on to acquire a new ip address...

Just try to access the modem/router GUI (graphical user interface) make sure or ask your ISP provider if the modem they have provided to you have a GUI or WEB CONFIGURATION. .. By keying in the address 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 it would depend on the IP address on the equipment modem/router. ..

Additional Info :: to access your modem gui, you will be needing the username and password for you to have full access on the modem configuration

How to check the IP address of the equipment you have ::

Click Start => run => type in cmd (for xp,Vista) for (win98) type in (winipcfg) ENTER

For XP - you should be seeing a dos window or a black screen, type in ipconfig, look for default gateway number get that number and that is the IP address on your modem/router

For Vista - same command type in ipconfig then locate for ethernet adapter local area connection and same thing locate for default gateway.

If you already have the default gateway go ahead and access the modem/router configuration and look for the STATUS... It would depend actually (case to case basis)

All you have to do is just click on disconnect on the WAN CONNECTION or either it would say BROADBAND CONNECTION just disconnect and wait for the page to refresh by itself if it doesn't click on connect

Thats it, you will be given a new ip address from your ISP provider without switching the power off/on manually on the modem/router that you have...
