do you mean when recording? if that is so, i think its normal, it also happens to me, but the good side is that after you record and play it, its not jerky anymore.:)

Try keeping a steady hand when recording and also when u move the phone when recording make sure u move move it slowly. I do this and I don't have any problem with the MP4 capture using my N70. Then u can edit out the unwanted scene using a movie editor. Hope this works for u too... :victory:

Guys guys

I don't think you get me - i know that if you move the camera around
too fast the camera cant cope with the fast motion due to low frame
rate - ( i am not that stupid ) - My problem is of more complex nature
Mp4 in my N70 has tiny little pauses in fixed intervals like every 10-20
seconds i guess. You have to really pay attention to see them , so you
guys might experience the same thing but you just didn't notice. Freeing
memory and stop applications helps but need a bit more power. I think
its my mmc which is slow, too slow to write mp4 properly. Can you please
recommend me a really fast mmc ? or any other solution to my problem,
may that be new video capture program or optimizations of the phone.

Thanks

lets see ... as you said that freeing up memory and stopping application helps ... its most probably the RAM issue ... every phone has limited RAM ... and wen near to 100% useage it also shows the error "memory full close sum applications"

having a faster MMC wont solve your problem ... coz RAM is within the PHONE ... well newer phones have more RAM ... anywayz here are few ways u can use that help alot ...

1- close background applications like antivirus, smart settings , FS caller etc ...
2- using programs to compress RAM memory ... like appman etc ...
3- restarting your phone before making the video ... as a newly restarted phone has more Free RAM n later the programs might take that up again;
4- change your phone THEME to BASIC the first option in the pre installed themes ... 3rd Party themes also take up RAM memory ...

well i hope this helps ...

wid best wishes,
Zee ^_^

Hello guys

My phone is the N70 and according to TaskSpy my phone has
a 220mhz arm processor and 53mb of memory so memory is plenty
and again according to TaskSpy my normal free memory is around 30mb
which seems fine to me. The solution you guys suggest until now are
simple and i have already applied then and they make things better
but they don't solve the problem completely. So i have narrowed down
the problem to slow memory. Any one know of a really fast mmc ??
or how to make services profiles to use less services when recording
and apply back the regular service profile when i am done ?

Thanks

there are to solutions to this dude...
one is the memory card is inable to acquire the data at that speed.
i was using a kingston mmc dual voltage1 gb.on my n70.
i updated my firmware and it now works fine.
i was experiencing the same jerkyness.
try that it might help.

Yes. Updating the firmware is the solution. I think the older firmware does not support mobile mmc greater than 512 MB for MP4 video recodings.

its not related with the firmware as my phone had the near latest version: ->
V5.06.38 & yet I had the same problem in taking videos.

The mmc shouldnt have been a problem as it was the 1Gb mmc supplied by Nokia itself.
Initially i thought it to be a hardware defect & got it exchanged with a new piece. The 2nd phone developed the same problem though within a week. Didnt think of formatting it though.

Then I got a 3rd phone which thankfully doesnt have that problem..

Also, Curiously.. The first 2 phones also had a bluetooth problem; in that, I couldnt receive files larger than approximately 2 Mb & the sending phone showed "Connection Lost"

Could it be that maybe There was a fault in the initial batches of N70 ?

i dont think the problem is something related to the phone hardware . i got the same problem but nothing wrong with my bluetooth ! mayb its just the mmc is too big for N70 to operate properly with or its the phone ram . wish there was a way to get rid of this problem coz i dont wanna get rid of the phone http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n319/orlando_boy/6r8r589ke.png

The MMC could not have been too big for the phone to handle, otherwise Nokia wouldnt have bundled the 1 Gb card along with the phone.. :blah:
