Recentyl activated NOP ( NetOnPhone) Scheme from Airtel... on my Nokia 3250

Anyways... aside from advertising for AirTel, I downlaoded a lot of apps...

MSN Meesenger - Wont COnnect

MGMaps - WORKS ! :fool:


Any reasons ??? Is it that WAP has restricted access ? SOme ports blocked or stuff ? ANy pointers please from those who haf succesfully got any of teh above working ....

its a long disscusion but I am giving in a breaf.For information,I Am too the user of AIRTEL-wap(kolkata,India) service.
1)yes mate Airtel has blocked a many websites including orkut,gmail,yahoomail,msn,etc and even it shows an error message frequently while opening some forum pages as for example dotsis.com.
but officially the authourities do not confess it.
2)there is a download limit of maximum 5MB per download content.If any content exceeds this amount the network again shows an error message(like :content too large.)[it is a great problem of Airtel wap user in Kolkata]
3)you cannot upload any attachment by using this service.
4)in KOLKATA it costs for Rs 99/p.m.

But with these hazards too we can laugh with airtel for accessing this service.ISn't it mate????

Yea its true, many websites hav bin blocked, no instant messengers either, the yahoo and msn apps dont work :(

Pricing at 99/pm ?? .. Airtel customer service told me Rs. 2 per day making it 60 per month.

Sucky that one can download stuff .. though that wud be ripping off Airtel,

1month before when i called to 121 they said nop is for postpaid not available for prepaid in tamilnadu.now is it avale in prepaid. Any 1please help me
