Description:
The Smartphone is a fantastic tool, versatile and yet so small.

The size of the Smartphone makes it very flexible, but at the same time it calls for extra care in using the precious screen space.

Many products try to squeeze in as much information as possible on the display, often with a cool colorful picture as background. The result is an unreadable mess, especially if your eyes aren't as good as they used to be.

The Mobile With Style (MWS) Home Screen solution takes a different approach; to present a peaceful, stylish screen that don't display unnecessary information. Behind the scene there are plenty of things going on to give you the information you need, when you need it. The "information noise" that otherwise could litter the screen is suppressed, giving a clean, calm and readable display where the important information gets focus.

The basis of the MWS screen is an analog clock. If there's nothing else to report, that's all there is. A clock. When an event calls for your attention, appropriate information will be added to the screen. When the information is no longer needed, it is removed from the screen.

The Super Short Installation Instruction:
================================================
1. Copy the .cab file to the Smartphone.
2. Execute the file on the Smartphone
3. Select on of the the “MWS…” styles on the standard “Settings – Home Screen
– Home Screen Layout” configuration.
4. Be Amazed ;-)

A somewhat longer installation instruction:
================================================
The installation is done by executing the .cab files on the Smartphone (the
installation order is optional). The files can be copied to the Smartphone via
an ActiveSync connection or as mail attachments. For details on how to copy
the files via ActiveSync, please turn to Appendix A.

MWS Engine installation
================================================
1. On the Smartphone, locate the copy of the “MWS Evaluation.cab” file and
execute it.
2. Acknowledge the alert “The program comes from an unknown source…” => Yes
3. Installation is now completed

MWS Style selection
================================================
The installation of the MWS Home Screen does not change the current Home Screen
selection in the Smartphone Settings.

To select one of the installed screens:
1. On the Start menu, select Settings
2. On the Settings menu, select Home Screen
3. In the Home Screen Layout selection box, select one of the “MWS….”
Home screens (tip: press the action key (joy stick) to get a better
view over the installed styles)
4. For further information, please turn to the MWS User Manual.

Removal of MWS Home Screen
================================================
To inactivate the MWS Home Screen, simply select another Home Screen under
Start Menu - Settings - Home Screen.

To completely remove (uninstall) the MWS Home Screen, use the standard
Smartphone function at Start Menu - Settings - Remove Programs.

* To remove the evaluation version, please remove "MWS Evaluation" only.
* To remove the full version, please remove "MWS Engine" and all the styles
installed, e.g. "MWS Mix Pack 1"

Appendix A: ActiveSync file copying
================================================
This description assumes that you have an existing ActiveSync connection that
you use for Outlook/Exchange synchronization.

1. Connect the Smartphone to the PC via ActiveSync.
2. On the PC: locate the “Microsoft ActiveSync” window
3. In the Activesync window, click on the “Explore” icon
4. You will get an almost empty Explorer window with a “My Smartphone” icon.
Double-click the icon to get one step into your Smartphone.
5. With the Explorer window, locate a proper place to put the .cab files.
a. If you feel uncomfortable with using the File Manager on the Smartphone,
place the file in the Start Menu (\Storage\windows\Start Menu\).
After the file copying you’ll need to restart the Smartphone, but when
it’s up and running again, you’ll have the .cab file available on the
Start Menu. The .cab file will be removed automatically after installation,
so you don’t need to bother about that.
b. If you don’t like to reboot the Smartphone and don’t bother using the
File Manager on the Smartphone, place the file anywhere
(e.g. \Storage\Application Data\Volatile\).
6. With the Smartphone Explorer window positioned at a suitable folder
for the file, open an ordinary Explorer window in parallel.
7. In the ordinary Explorer window, locate the folder where the MWS .cab
file is.
8. Using drag-and-drop, drag the .cab file from
the source Explorer window to the Smartphone Explorer window.
9. Done.
10. Now locate the file according to the method chosen above
(reboot – Start Menu or File Manager).
11. Execute the file according to the instructions above.
