Q: What is CalvinStinger©?

A: CalvinStinger© is a Symbian OS Series 60 third party application that is capable of detecting and eliminating Symbian Viruses such as
BlankFont.A, Commwarrior.A, Commwarrior.B, Cabir/Caribe, DoomBoot.A, Fontal.A, Locknut.A, Locknut.B, Mabir.A, and Lasco.A only.

Q2: Is CalvinStinger© an anti-virus application for Series 60 handsets?

A2: No, CalvinStinger© is a disinfection tools for certain Symbian malwares only. It is not an anti-virus program in nature. It only disinfect. It does not prevent malicious programs from infecting your handphone. This software only serves to remove the malicious codes that does damage to your phone. It does not restore, backup or rescue any data.

Q3: What is the purpose of CalvinStinger©?

A3: CalvinStinger© is designed to eliminate Symbian malwares.

Q4: What known Nokia phones that can CalvinStinger© run on?

A4: CalvinStinger© has been tested on Symbian OS v6.1, v7.0 and v8.0.
SO far, it's working fine on NOKIA 3650/3660/6260/6630/6600/6670/6680/6681/7610/7650/N90/N-GAGE/QD

Q5: How do I install the software?

A5: The installation software is a SIS standard file. There are two ways to install CalvinStinger© on your mobile phone:

• Using the PC Suite application of your mobile phone.

• Transferring the "CalvinStinger.sis" installation file to the phone via a Bluetooth or an infrared connection.

Before you start the installation make sure you have enough free memory on your phone. During the installation process you will need at least 100kb of memory.

-->Installing via Nokia PC Suite application:

Start the PC application on your computer.

Choose the menu command Tools/Install application and follow the instructions on the screen

-->Installing via file transfer:

Using the infrared or Bluetooth client application on your computer, send the "CalvinStinger.sis" file to the phone. The file will then be saved to your phone's memory or your card memory.

It will arrive as a new message in your phones’ inbox. Go to your Inbox and select the message containing the installation file. The file will be saved to the installer application automatically.

Select Install and press [OK].

Next, the installer will ask you to read and to accept the license agreement terms and conditions. Read the agreement(in the *.ZIP file) and accept it by pressing [OK]. If you do not accept the agreement(In the *.ZIP file), press [Cancel] to quit the installation.

Q6: How do I register the software?

A6: This is a freeware and it does not require any registration.

Hehe, slight mistake here. I know the author of the file (not personally, we go to the same forums). The name of the file is not DiGi, it's a logo for a mobile provider in Malaysia. He just "borrowed" the logo. The name of the file is Calvin Stinger and it's a malware remover.

Just in case anyone wanted to know. :p

I have call the DIGI centre they said they don't supply this software & ask me not to install it maybe it is a scam. I have sent this sofwtrae for them to check. Can I know where did you have this kind of software?

If you are a DIGI pre paid card user please think twices to install it.. I
lost my credit about more that RM 124.00 dollar... in less than 2 hours..

Yes, I'm the developer of this software and thanks for the moderator to update this disinfection tool in this forum.

BeNax, I think you just install my application without agree my terms and conditions of this application right? This application is not owned by "DiGi" and it's nothing related with "DiGi" as stated in the agreement before you install it.

And I would like to clarify that this is not a malware or viruses, I must emphasize that I analyze virus but not making or creating virus that harm to people.

I would like to advise you that you should check with Itemized Billing before you post any comment about the application, else, you must have install certain software that causing viruses capable executed in your phone. Beware, viruses always spereading in warez/shareware site.

How To Use

For installation guide, please refer to FAQ, question No.5

After installation completed you may able to see a "DiGi" logo in your phone as shown below:

Run the application and click Options>Remove Symbian Viruses:

If your phone had been infected with viruses before, it will comes out with this message: " Symbian Viruses Removed by CALVIN TANG!

If your phone system is clean from viruses, it will comes out with this message " Symbian Worms Not Found, System Clean!

If your phone really infected with virus and shown the message as shown above, you may reboot your phone and re-scan your phone using CalvinStinger© again in order to completely disinfect your phone system!

Yeah...yeah i am malaysian too. i'm happy to use Digi Calvin stingger. Already try using other antivirus, it crash my phone and need to reformat(hard) when infected. :)
