Please Compress Big Files Before Uploading

Members are requested to kindly compress big files with kgb archiever like software before uploading , so that it can take less time to download files over net. can u believe kgb archiver can compress 500MB of data to 1.5 MB. people using slow internet connection like me will be benefitted. I hope we will help each other in this way more efficiently.

Well, this is applicable for PC Apps only (Duh!)

But, the problem is that KGB Archiver is unreliable. For one, it takes hours/days to compress and decompress it.

Secondly, I havent seen many people having success with it. EG: I have seen NFS MW/Carbon/Office 07 compressed to 1-3 MB, but, those who have uncompressed it, all say it doesnt work. (In majority of the cases)

Ultimately, the decision is personal, and, rests upon the uploaders, if they wish to upload as a KGB Archive. For me, I will continue to download stuff off the net, even on my 64 kbps connection, keeping the PC on through the night for important files.

it may be but what if u dl 60% and found disconnected for any reason may be power failure or some other reason, whereas in small files once it is downloaded one can uncompress according to his convenience, and I found MS off 2007 working nice.
