Firstly, my thanks for you for taking time out to read this.
Now, it has been observed that many people register and post in the open forums just to promote some crap referral scheme of which they are a part. Worse, they advertise this in their signatures.
Our Admin DotSIS.com (Hime) has even put up an announcement as on 15th May 2007 stating that this practise is banned. However, it is being observed that this rule is blatantly being broken, with even some senior members advertising referral schemes.
The said announcement can be read Here (http://www.dotsis.com/mobile_phone/announcement.php?f=99&a=31)
Henceforth, please get it absolutely clear that posting of referral schemes in the open forum (i.e:ANYWHERE EXCEPT THE SALES AND PROMOTIONS (http://www.dotsis.com/mobile_phone/forumdisplay.php?f=55) ZONE) will be considered a rule violation and members will be dealt with accordingly.
The following system has been outlined: (It may be modified anytime)
1 Referral Post in the open forum >> 1 Infraction worth 2 Points for "Breaking Rules Violently"
2 Referral Posts in the open forum >> 3 Day Ban
3 Referral Posts in the open forum >> 7 Day Ban
>3 Referral Posts in the open forum >> Permanent Ban
Another point to be noted that no referral schemes are allowed in any part of the profile(As said in Hime's announcement) (Namely: Location, Signature, Avatar etc). A warning will be given, and, if the member fails to oblige, the offending member will be banned.
So, please get this clear. The system will be in place for everyone. (This includes staff members also). Let us keep this forum clean and relevant.
Finally, while handing out infractions/bans, your "seniority/contributions/forum age" and other such parameters wont be lookid into. A rule violation is a rule violation as stated above.
If you dont wish to contrbute to DotSIS, fine, atleast dont dirty the site!
This system wouldnt have been implemented if such members (Who come to post referral schemes only) wouldnt have flooded the forum to such an extent.
The staff at DotSIS wishes you a pleasant experience at the forums.[/URL]
