As we can see in daily basis, we encounter some minor problems here in dotsis and maybe a headache to us. This topic is more on feedback than suggestion. This cover the following but not limited to.
1) Posting in wrong section
>> few of our friends here open a new thread in a wrong section thus making dotsis unclean. All we have to do clean the mess they made by redirecting it to proper section.
>> for a single section say S60 (v1 &v2) you can see ten or more wrong section post. This cover specially asking for help or made request.
2) Not specific in making request
>>> now, this you can see much now a days. Instead of writing the exact title of their request, they simply wrote, "Need help", "Pleeeeeeease help", and etc. We are not a fortune teller to easily knew what you really want. :)
>>> you can write, "Need help to sign my X software for my N73", "Please post X software for my 6600", etc. Be more specific in making request.
3) Making a thread title with dot or underscore
>>> I only saw this dotted title once. This may cause a double post and not very advisable.
4) Posting games/apps which has no screenshot & description
>>> let the posted games/apps be reconsidered (for now) with forum Admin & MODS consent. It seems that we forgot the forum rules regarding this screenshot & description of the games/apps. Let us put our job here into very standard basis specially posting games & applications.
>>> this two requirement should be accompanied each other. Not just the screenshot or the description of the files. It should be the two. And if possible include the software version to avoid mis-interpretation thus result to trashing of your file (you can find this in Forum rules).
5) Rep button
>>> I see some software or games fully thanks maybe a hundred plus but he only got a hundred rep. How's that? I give him full rep eventhough I did not use the software to show that I appreciate his work.
>>> I'm not telling you to give rep againts your will but, common, you can do better than that.
>>> this can be only done on a case to case basis. You have still your own decision. I'm only reminding that there is a time that you have to it because you have to. Don't just ignore the man's hardwork by sharing his time and effort to serve dotsis and that he can share it to you. :)
6) Thank button
>>> this is more simplier. A simple press on thanks button is very highly appreciated. That is the simplest way of showing your gratitude to the uploader's hardwork. Looking for something in the net take much of your time. It's not an easy thing.
>>> Or you may post comments how the software work and what phone you are using ( I always used this to remind our friends on posting a simple thank word which are considered spamming). This may also help other members to know that software is working with the same unit he's using. Or vice versa.
>>> pressing thank button or replying, for me, is good enough. To know that you have help or shared something to members and they appreciate it can be very different. You knew what I mean and I knew all of you can feel the same. We are forumers, but we are also human.
Til here for now. This is just the beginning of few reminders. Still more coming up if I see that there is still need changes on what dotsis now going. Thanks.
