Hey,

Does it say "Installer Already In Use" ? I have had this and this version would not install after installing the previous one.
With the help of others we found that by using a file explorer app, go into E:System & rename the fonts folder to "fontsx". Then restart the phone.
Now you can uninstall the previous version & install the new one above with no problems.

It work very well.
The importan is that you install first the upgrade 7.0.803 that you can downloa from route66 site and only after this you can use the file posted from Wipe.

Hi,

After upgrading to 7.0.803 I've noticed that the fonts installed with the original version 7.0.x of Route66 are gone.
Do we still need those fonts?

I first installed a stripped down version of Route66 Mobile7 packaged by CoffeeCup which included only English language. (the fonts are present in the package, I checked the SIS file)
Then I downloaded and installed the 7.0.803 update SIS from Route66 website. (The SIS doesn't include any speech files nor fonts).
The phone asked to replace the old version with this new one which I did.
The result - it deleted the fonts and the only speech file I had.
I then manually replace route66.app with the one provided by Babes (thanks!) and copied in the map and the deleted speech file.
Route66 works flawless (well, as far I can tell without properly testing it into the car) - the text looks ok on my screen, ...

So, the question remains: why did this happen and is this the way it should be?

I'm not very familiar with Nokia's upgrade procedure, when the phone asks to replace "Package ver. X" with "Package ver. Y".
Does the AppManager guy invokes the uninstall procedure for package X ?
Because if it does, then it's normal to delete all files from the old package before installing the new one.

if the upgrade sis is created as SISUPGRADE it should just add the new files or replace existing
when you uninstall the updated files will be also uninstalled
don't really know why the fonts gone missing

Thanks for your response.
Anyway, Route66 works ok without these fonts.
I don't know what difference they make but I rather prefer not to use them as they also change the appearance of the phone menu.
If someone knows more about this issue please join the discussion and shed some more light over this.

Here I am attaching the file I got from EDK

Including the cracked SIS and I have also included zip-ed file of the UnMakeSis (extracted) SIS file, because the installation didn't work with me, and maybe will not work with some of you, so you can just put the content of the zip the same way you have installed Route 66 - copy & overwrite.

All credit goes to Babes who cracked, and 10x to maxximumm for noting that there is a new release.

No I can confirm it is working.

I installed the Mobile 7 (+ GB map) from this release (10x trickydave):

and then used the files in the unpacked sis I attached in my prev. message to update to 7.0.964

I don't know why You have problem with sis package....

anyway, the important thing is that the app is cracked :)

I have given both sis and zip. so that only if user fails the sis installation, he/she still has an option to install/update.

that's weird 'cause when you look at the .app in the original update it's only 1.43
dunno what could cause the one ine the card to be so big..

Ok I've tried everything now and just can't get past this issue for Route66 (see attached pic).

I've search this whole forum I just can get the answer, tried different versions. Same problem all over every time. I did make maps dir under ROUTE66 folder and place SOUTH_AFRICA_2004_Q2.PRM in there. Still not working. ?? Please anyone? :confused:

Copy a compatibly Map in the Route 66 Mobile7 Map-Folder.
If there is no Map in this Folder,you have a "Resource Error"

It exist no other Maps(newer or older)for Route 2005.
It exist no other Maps(newer or older)for Route Mobile 7.
Route 2005 Maps dont work with Route Mobile 7 Programm.But the Maps have the same File .PRM.
