Hiisi Suite v1.6.3

Hiisi Suite, HTTP proxy server suite for mobile phone and PC, enables MIDP capable mobile phone to connect to LAN via bluetooth (RFCOMM) connection. With these proxies, you can connect mobile phone inside the area where bluetooth radio wave of PC can reach to the internet without paying money for mobile operators. Hiisi Suite supports only HTTP protocol (GET and POST methods).

Hiisi Proxy is a midlet for mobile that routes all the http traffic to Pihatonttu Proxy running on the PC. Before installing and running the applications, you have to configure them, according to your devices settings.

Compatibility:
Tested and working in 6630, N73 and E61. It should work in any MIDP 2.0 mobile.
Up to date
Tried on my N95 and works ok. E51 works ok.

==================================================

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL

Note: Do not skip this! Read carefully !!!
You may need JAVA JRE (java runtime environment). Most PCs, may already have the java jre installed, you can check your version by open a command prompt (Start / run / cmd - enter) then in black window, type "java -version" (without quotes) and press enter. Version will be displayed if installed. If not CLICK HERE (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) to get it.

==================================================

OK, here we go then.

█ Step 1
First create a new acces point:
Go to - Tools > Settings > Connection > Access points > Options > Create new access point
Name the access point anything you wish. In my case I called it Bt, but you name it as you want since the connection name doesn't matter, unlike GnuBox.
Example
Connection Name > Bt (Or anything else you want. Be careful, Connection Name and Acces Point Name are different things)
Leave everything on default then go to Options > Advanced settings.
On the proxy server address enter 127.0.0.1 and 1234 as the proxy port number. Now press back two times to exit and save the new access point.

********************/23vmne********************/yobtm8

█ Step 2
Installation on the phone
On the folder that you extracted \Hiisi1.6.3\Hiisi\bin there are Hiisi.jar and Hiisi.jad.
Copy both files to the root of your MMC or phone memory, doesn't matter how you get the files to your phone, via usb or bluetooth, is important that both files are in the same directory for proper installation.
Then using any file explorer (could even use nokia file manager) locate and run the hiisi.jad file and not the JAR, this will be in a path looking something like E:/hiisi.jad (it is important to run the jad file, and NOT the jar file, or simply won't work at all, but .jar file must also be present in same dir as the .jad file for successful installation), so follow all on screen prompts which comes from after clicking the hiisi.jad file, and go ahead and install it.

>> Update:
When prompted for the installation directory when you install the .jad file, select the directory where your .jad and .jar files are located.
Example:
If you have transfered the files on E:/, select memory card to install the .jad file.
If you have transfered them on C:/ select phone memory to install the .jad file.

█ Step 3
Configuring the server on PC
First we need to know the COM port used by your bluetooth.
In my case is COM11 under BlueSoleil 2.1.3 Release. In the main panel of BlueSoleil go to My Services > Properties > Serial Port A.

********************/yomrot

For default Windows XP SP2 and Vista drivers here is a screenshot that may help to find the COM Port.
You can go to Control Panel > Bluetooth Devices > COM Ports tab.

********************/256qj5

Now we need to edit the COM Port in the Pihatonttu.cmd.
Open Notepad and drag and drop Pihatonttu.cmd inside the Notepad.
You should see this:
start javaw -Djava.library.path=. -cp .\lib\comm.jar;.\lib\jdic.jar;.\class Pihatonttu.PihatonttuMain COM7 nullIn the COM7, change the number 7 to your COM Port used by bluetooth. In my case is COM11 so it should be like this:
start javaw -Djava.library.path=. -cp .\lib\comm.jar;.\lib\jdic.jar;.\class Pihatonttu.PihatonttuMain COM11 nullIf you want to use 3rd party proxy server just replace null with 200.65.127.161:3128 (note that this proxy is only for example, you're not supposed to use this)or any other proxy you want.
Example
start javaw -Djava.library.path=. -cp .\lib\comm.jar;.\lib\jdic.jar;.\class Pihatonttu.PihatonttuMain COM11 200.65.127.161:3128Note: You can do the same with the Pihatonttu_localhost.cmd file but in my case it worked with Pihatonttu.cmd.

Ctrl+S to save it and close Notepad. Now double click the Pihatonttu.cmd and the Pihatonttu Proxy window will appear.
Note: If you get error like "COM Port is in use" when you launch the app, close it and launch again.

********************/yoxvjk

█ Step 4
Now launch the Hiisi Proxy on your Phone. It will ask you "Allow application Hiisi bla bla bla...?" Press Yes.
Select and press Bluetooth Mode then it will say "Inquiring bluetooth devices..."

********************/27rba6********************/23sybz

Now choose your PC bluetooth name then it will search for bluetooth serial port.

********************/ysth8c

On the next screen you will see the btspp://..... selection. This is the RFCOMM service and you need to select this one. (select the first and not the second)

********************/yrzour

Now you will see this screen.

********************/27k4dh

Normally you can go ahead on browsing the web now but to be sure let's go to Options > Settings. Bluetooth mode must be selected.
Bluetooth Connection > Check now must be checked.
User Agent > Select Mozilla/5.0(Symbian OS S60 Browser/Safari) then press OK
(If you have problem connecting and get an error 500 select the SoftBank as user agent and it will work ok)

********************/2dbq47********************/ytx5k8

After pressing OK, Checking Bluetooth Connection screen will appear and you have to allow the application to use connectivity applications.
If you see the screen as below, you're on the right way.

********************/2bsz8s

█ Final step
Now without exiting the Hiisi Proxy, unlike GnuBox, open the browser on the phone and try to open any web page.
When prompted which access point to use, select your new dummy access point. In my case I called it Bt so I have to select that.

********************/2frs7g

This is my method on how I put it to work under BlueSoleil Software.
Thanks to marty3 from another forum for his clear tutorial.

BlueSoleil 2.1.3 Standard Release
Note: Inside the patch folder there is a bttl.ini file. DO NOT use it. Just forgot to remove it.

Thank you very much sir. It works like a charm.
i got it to work in my N73 ME.

EDIT: Yeah, people can say goodbye to Gnubox now. Because unlike Gnubox, Hiisi is so easy to co nfigure.

Perhaps this might help people out:

Step 1. Download the file and extract it. A folder named "Hiisi1.6.3" should appear.
Step 2. Inside "Hiisi1.6.3" folder, there should be 3 folders and 5 READMEs. Open up the "Hiisi" folder, and inside go to "bin" folder. That's the jar file you need to install to your phone.
Step 3. Once your done installing it, go back to the "Hiisi1.6.3" folder, this time, go to "Pihatonttu" folder. Open up "Pihatonttu.cmd" in notepad.

You should see something like this:

start javaw -Djava.library.path=. -cp .\lib\comm.jar;.\lib\jdic.jar;.\class Pihatonttu.PihatonttuMain COMXX null
All you really need to change is XX - the COM port that your bluetooth driver uses. (I assume you know how to get this info)
and
null - if you need a proxy to connect to the internet, this is where you place that info. ('proxy: port' format). Otherwise, if you connect to the internet directly, leave it "null".
Save it and your PC config is done.

Step 4. On your phone, create a dummy AP (just like in Gnubox). Name it whatever you want. Put any random access point (i don't know if you need a working one). Then go to advance settings.

Change proxy address to: "localhost"
and proxy port to: "1234"

Save it and set it as the default for your web application.

Step 5. Open up "Pihatonttu.cmd" in your PC.

Step 6. Now, fire up Hiisi from your phone (Make sure to turn your Phones Bluetooth on!), it should ask you:

"Allow application Hiisi Proxy to use network and send or receive data?"

Press "Yes".

Select Bluetooth Mode. It should display:
"Inquiring Blootooth Device..."

This time you wait...
It should now show your PCs Bluetooth display name. Select it.

And it should then say something like:
"Searching for bluetooth port"

It should have found something like:
"btspp://*some random gibberish*"

Select it and it should finally say:
"Hiisi Proxy [Bluetooth Mode] is idling..."

Step 6. Now minimize Hiisi and open up your web ap. Select the Dummy Access Point. And try opening a website.
Your PC might ask for pairing, just say yes to all. Hope it works for you people :D

You will not have problems with your app on your phone if you install it as described here.

Check carefully your COM Ports. As I wrote in the original post, the configuration may vary from bluetooth drivers. I wrote a tutorial on how I made it work with BlueSoleil drivers. So, you can make your own test with this app.
Try to use the Pihatonttu_localhost.cmd instead of Pihatonttu.cmd.

Try tu use your default web browser to test it for the first time.
Try to change the User Agent on your phone. If you have Mozilla/5.0(Symbian OS S60 Browser/Safari), change it to SoftBank
Check your security level for your bluetooth on your PC. Must be set to "Medium"

Does your connectin work with GnuBox? Then why you use this. LOL. Personally I prefer GnuBox but I can't configure it on my N95.

I am sure you have done this step when configuring GnuBox but to be sure, check this:
==================================
In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters

Set the following registry value:
Value Name: IPEnableRouter
Value type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 1 (Default: 0)

A value of 1 enables TCP/IP forwarding for all network connections that are installed and used by this computer.

Quit Registry Editor.

Reboot your machine to apply the settings!
==================================

Other tip:

In my case I have deleted the new modem "Communication cable between two computer" 'cause it blocks the COM Port used by bluetooth sometimes.

1. Go to Settings > Phone > Network and tell me what settings do you have there?
2. Try to open google.com or dotsis.com. Any page that starts with http://

Since now I got network error when I want to sign in at Windows Live Messenger, but not any error with packet data.

Hey guys I have a problem TOO. :bang:
SORRY MY ENLISH IS POOR
I have Nokia N82 phone.
I installed the app to the phone.
When I starting my bluetooth ( BlueSoleil 1.6.0, but I tired newer versions too )
its telling me that my serial port A is COM6
http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/8356/snap4gc2.jpg
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6789/snap5bh4.jpg
I configured the Pihatonttu for this com
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/526/snap3kc8.jpg
and I started.
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/7267/snap2mg9.jpg
When I wanted to configure data connection in phone its shows me a different way from that screenshot what can I found in the first page.
I have a NETWORK TIPE IPv4 or IPv6
http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/515/abcd0008yj1.jpg
Configured a same way that shows in first page.
I sarted the app and configured.
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6287/abcd0002lg2.jpg
When I staring to connect my bluetooth shows me that
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/8189/snap1ae9.jpg
connected but five seconds later its dissconnecting.
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/4049/abcd0004mz0.jpg
So, I hide the app, and go to the broswer and connect to any site, I choose a coonection Bt - bluetooth connection, and when trying to connect, this message arrives
http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/4978/abcd0006ka9.jpg
Packet connection not available ( -4161 )

What can I do?

I tried, but the same thing happens.
I think there is a problem in with my phone because, when I try to connect with the broswer, bluetooth doesn't start.
When phone checks bluetooth connection I can see a bt icon on the phone display, but in five minutes it disappears, like the bluetooth connection on the computer.

I have this working on my Nokia E50 but using WIDCOMM drivers. Opera are browse the internet fine, but no other app can. Not built in browser, Google Maps nothing.
For persons wanting the WIDCOMM drivers they can get it here. (http://files.filefront.com/WidcommBluetoothSoftware/;5234223;;/fileinfo.html)

As you can see it all fine here (above). But using the built-in browser I get this error.

I want to be able to use Google Maps to get the maps of my area, that's my main purpose for trying this. Any help would be great.

could you please tell us one more thing.. i think we all missed this one out

when you go to settings.. before entering acces point's on connection there is another settings below thats calld "packet-data"

in there there is 2 settings which can be changed

"packet-dataconn. "
this one can be changed from "autom. at signal" or " when necessery"

and below that there is another one
"Acces Point"
which was set automaticly by my provider to "internet"

so to find this you go to :
menu
settings
settings again
connection

and in this menu there is a list :

Accespoints
Packet-data ------------------- Its in here
SIP-settings
Data-call or something
Configuration

please tell us what you have there

Yes, you are right. I said this before. Some images are not displayed correctly. This app uses only http protocol. I cannot log in to hotmail or sign in to Windows Live Messenger for example. That's the problem of this app I guess.

For cable connection try find out the GnuBox methods.

I'm not sure about this error but I think this has to do with the protocol.
Hiisi uses only http protocol and some pages like hotmail for example that requires a secure login, doesn't open properly.

I have a n73ME and I get this error (like many other users)

"Data paket : data connection is not allowed"

Im using the WIDCOMM drivers, and the connection between the PC and the phone is perfect, the problem is the connection between the phone browser and the Hiisi program in the phone...

Dont know why this happens, tried many prograns and games and none could use the Hiisi as a proxy...

I think this error happens when the phone tries to use the 127.0.0.1:1234 address but the Hiisi proxy server in the phone dont accept or dont recognized the connection...

Blashyrkh
02-11-2008, 04:19 PM
Are you sure the proxy port is 1234 and NOT 12345 ?

trendkillsp
02-11-2008, 04:40 PM
Yes! I configured everything exactly as you described!

I read the .TXT help that comes with the Hiisi, but nothing new.

I just figured one more thing, actually there are 2 different errors:

1- Packet Data: Invalid packet data access point
(This happens when the access point name is NONE)

2- Packet Data: connection not avaliable
(This happens when I change the access point name to anything else than NONE)

So the problem is: the phone dont acept the access point configuration and then close the connection before the Hiisi program (in the phone) can enter in running mode.

I tried many names and settings, but nothing worked... :(

Blashyrkh
02-11-2008, 06:59 PM
1. What phone model you have?
2. Connection name doesn't matter.
3. Be sure you have configured the access point properly.
4. Read carefully the Step 2 how to install the app on the phone.
5. You need to run Hiisi on the phone every time you want to connect to PC, then minimize it (don't close it)

trendkillsp
02-11-2008, 08:51 PM
I manage how to make it work, the default access point configuration wasnt enough for making Hiisi recognised the proxy connection, so I had to use the proxy number and port (127.0.0.1:1234) on my regular operator access point...

After making this configuration I started the Hiisi proxy, make the connection to the PC, minimized it, started the browser, choose the regular access point (that I modified to work with the 127.0.0.1 address proxy) and then when the browser was trying to make the connection I had to swith back to Hiisi (if I dont swith back the Hiisi dont start running)...

Using this method I can use the regular n series browser, google maps and default email....

Anyway, after some time the program crashed without explanation and I had to reset the phone to get the connection again...

Dont know if the problem is with my phone, my firmware or the Hiisi jad/jar file...

thanks!

"500 internal Server Error" Sometimes this error appears when trying to connect on secure web pages. I get this error when I want to sign in at hotmail. Guess it's because Hiisi support only http protocol.

As for the other problem I think there something not configured properly on your PC or any conflict.

Mate, If you have BlueSoleil, you don't need to go to Control Panel. You can see the COM Ports under BlueSoleil as described in the tutorial.

I have tested it under 1.6...release and worked ok, but I suggest to use any newer release.

Well, I got a lot of errors of every kind for the first time when I tried to use it. But you can solve this problem by making tests. All I have done to configure it are posted in the first page, and some updates too.

This is my problem:
- Phone: N95
- Laptop: HP DV2403tx with built in BT, Win Vista, Widcomm driver V6.0.
- My PC realize that N95 doesn't support PAN.
That mean i can't conect my phone to internet through BT by this software?
I have try bluesoile driver (V2.3 , V5.0) but it doesn't recognize my BT device. What should i do now?

Be sure you have JAVA Runtime Environment installed and....DO NOT run the .cmd file outside its folder.

Don't worry about it, Hiisi uses only your bluetooth connection. Be sure you select the AP used by Hiisi when launching apps that requires internet connection.

this invalid packet data is all prob of mobs which do not connect to the bluetooth....

like the serial port of the computer..or they just connect and they disconnect..

like the thing turns green 4 sum time and leaves it...check it again...old mobiles like n-gage and 6600 connect very easily since the service of serial port is given...

check

Sure it's not available 'cause your COM Port is in use.
Do not launch other applications like Nokia PC Suite or BlueSoleil File Transfer Service for not blocking your COM Ports.

One other thing I advice you to do is:
Before trying to connect with Hiisi, pair the phone with the PC (Bluesoleil software),
Go to: [B]My Bluetooth > Security > Devices tab
Select your phone name and click on Authorize Sevices.
Click on Select all then OK.

Now try to connect again with Hiisi. Hope this works.

i already have blue soleil v2.3 i need the same as yours 2.1.3....

my guess on this is that old versions of bluetooth are working..

the new ones are not ... also the catching ability of the computer on the mobile has to be increased....

also i have seen that mobiola web cam does nto work with blue soleil...but it does with widcomm drivers...

again catchin ability of widcomm is more than that of bluesoleil...

hey this is a common problem with blue soleil....

actually when you access the mobile web brouser, it shuld connect through hiisi and to the computer... but it does not on many n series phones... according to me...

yup and srry man.. i tried tooo many things but this hiisi does not work...

my conclusion is that there needs to be some reprogramming on the mobile software...

try this switch on phitton..and on mobile mobiola web cam..

u'll have a perfect connection..and switch on hiisi it idle's itself...

so if this idle is taken away and connection is kept constant then it shud work for sure...

anyways thanks for 2.1.3.... working gr8!!

Hi Olti,

Although your step-by-step explanation would cover all who use Bluesoliel bluetooth devices, guys like me who have a different bluetooth hardware would get lost. I use my HP laptop for the bluetooth connection with my N73 for both data transfer and for PC suite. I am not able to make any setting for the PAN (In fact I don't even have a bluetooth settings tab to make changes for Personal area networking). Find screenshots below.

http://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/f71f7349ff43.gifhttp://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/52a36fe413a2.gif
http://www.4freeimagehost.com/show.php?i=f71f7349ff43.gif
http://www.4freeimagehost.com/show.php?i=52a36fe413a2.gif

However, when I right click the bluetooth Icon....

http://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/61d27125ede5.gif
http://www.4freeimagehost.com/show.php?i=61d27125ede5.gif

http://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/b20e01836e59.gif
http://www.4freeimagehost.com/show.php?i=b20e01836e59.gif

I don't find any settings area, where I can make changes to the Personal Area Networking settings for my bluetooth hardware (HP Integrated Bluetooth) like as you have said in your third step (Update). Please help.

I have no problem in installing Hiisi or making settings for it in my phone. I strongly believe that if I would be able to make the PAN settings, it might just get rid of the 'PACKET DATA NOT AVAILABLE' error message.

Awaiting your response... Thanks in Advance

And also how to make the device authorised to the pc so it does not as for the passcode?? I think the passcode is causing the problem as whenever i try to open the site the hiisi suit connets to the pc and the bluetooth icon at the bottom turns yellow(which happens only when passcode needs to be entered and even if i click on it, it just open a config window) so please helpppppp!!!!

i have nokia n95 .. i configured EXACTLY everything is the same on tutorial and my settings on phone and on the pc .. i updated java to 1.06.05 new version.. blusoleil 2.1.3.. but when start checking in hiisi on my pc apear msg connect and disconnect.. i change in hiisi settings everything and try some combinations but DOES NOT WORK.

One thing i must to ask. why 127.0.0.1 why port 1234
my panip in blusolei is 192.168.0.1 is that matter or no?
in photatu (or something) :) i change to my port but null is here .. and in my proxy on Bt is 127.0.0.1 and port 1234 (null=127.0.0.1:1234??? )

i try everything.. but this does not work on my nokia n95 :(

This proxy address is to bypass your real service providers packet data access point address.
Your PAN IP doesn't matter in this case.

Hi all,

Here are my experience with Hissi proxy.

My hardware:
* Nokia 6110 Navigator
* bluetooth dongle with Bluesoleil 2.6
OS: Windows XP SP2

For a long time, when trying to use the Nokia browser I would get a "Unable to use network. Phone is in offline mode" if I put the browser access point as "user defined" to my proxy access point or "Select access point: (no data)" if I left it to "Always ask" and select my proxy access point manually when connecting to a web page.

These problems may arrise with different error messages on other phones.

The solution: put a SIM card in. Without a SIM card the phone goes into offline mode and never attempt to connect via any Access Point (since it is supposed to be offline :-)

Now, with a sim card, it still doesn't work too well: it connects via bluetooth, Bluesoleil says the COM port is being opened, the Pihatonttu sees requests and upload some data, but very quickly, bluesoleil tells me that the COM port has been closed and that is it ... it doesn't transmit anymore data.

I also tried to change the rate of the COM port in Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager -> Ports -> Bluetooth serial port (from 9600 to 115000) but nothing works well.

So it kinds of work but it unusable.

Olti do you have an idea off where this come from? Is it from the Bluesoleil drivers or the Hissi proxy itself?

Thanks you.

I don't understand your question sorry. This thread is about internet via bluetooth on Symbian S60 phones. Your phone should connect to GSM or WCDMA by itself if it is capable to do so.

Problem for me on my Nokia 6110 Navigator: I used Hiisi for a couple of days, but I discovered that when Hiisi Proxy turns accidently off, it automatically goes into GPRS-connection (with the same Access point). I had to 'duplicate' my original connection, because of an autorization failure. So the Hiisi proxy won't work with a new connection called 'bluetooth' with the 127.0.0.1-1234 settings. I had to duplicate an original vodafone connection an change the proxysettings. It only works when Hiisi is turned on on my phone, but the risk is too big for me to use it now, because it frequently just turns off and uses my normal (expensive) connection.

Any suggestions?

Mate, Hiisi must be running on the phone, otherwise the application searches for another access point.
Anyway, there are other ways how to prevent the app from using other AP, but this is not the right place.

Please read carefully: 'it automatically goes into GPRS-connection (with the same Access point)'.

I have only one access point (the duplicated one), I deleted the other ones.
It works, and I see the redirected sites on pihatonttu, but it connects to vodafone when Hiisi turns off (I don't know why, but my phone does turn Pihatonttu off sometimes (maybe when I use too much RAM or something, but that's not the point)).

Sure you have installed the app on the phone as described in the tutorial?
Have you installed the .jad file? And have you installed it on the same location where you have transferred it?
I've seen this error, I don't remember well, on a E51 or N73, but I used to solve it.

I'm going to try that now, it could be that I only transferred the .jad to my phone, and not the .jar. Could that be a problem? I did install it on the same location.

I also asked the question on this forum, maybe you can look at it: http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=203665#203665

EDIT: Nothing changed reinstalling the app; same failures.

LOL. Yes, that is the problem. You have to tranfer both files to the phone.
Read it carefully how to transfer and install it.

Damn, I did, couple of things tried (E:\....\ --> different map, E:\ --> just in rooth), but nothing changes. The program works great when I use a modified duplicated connection, but not with a new connect (or see below).

http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=203665#203665[/url]"]make a new access point that doesnt use your GPRS, or duplicate the one its working on, and change a letter on the access point.. this way, if hissi stops, your phone wont be able to connect and report an error

Making a new AP (just like the AP in your tutorial) gives this error: packet data: autorisation failed

Changing a letter in the AP name gives this error: packet-data: packet data connection not available

Try this (an please tell us if it works):
Control Panel -> System -> Harware -> Device Manager -> Ports (COM & LPT) -> [whatever port you are using] -> Port Settings -> Bits per second: push it higher than 9600.
