As for the FFF - I myself got confused at first. However what the instructions meant to say was:
1. Enter your 15-digit IMEI on the left hand side
2. A code will be generated on the right hand side
3. Use only the FIRST 10 digits of that code to register the s/w

I didn't tested it in windows. So it could have a virus... or not. But then again almost all keygen are recognised as virus in antivirus software (a lame attempt to stop piracy).
Here's a solution for all of you:

Windows : Use Vmware or Virtual box(freeware) to run a virtual machine with windows and run the keygen in there. After that you can delete the virtual machine along with the virus (if you think there's one).

Linux: Vmware or Virtual box to run a windows virtual machine... OR you can also run the keygen in wine inside linux without a problem (that's what I did)

Now you don't have more excuses :ban:
