GSM hack in India

I saw a news report about one month ago in a National TV News channel that if I call a person with my mobile, he can call back me displaying MY own number in the caller list. And my friend checked it out immediately, calling the reporter in delhi (he had displayed the phone number available at his place), he called back my friend's mobile number and to our surprise, my friend's phone number was getting displayed in the "called from" number.

How was it possible? Is there any software or any gsm hack that we dont know yet here?

Second, Reliance GSM (smart) users can change their Message centre number (i will give later, bcoz i dont remember it right now), so that any message sent will be FREE of Charge !

yes swaroop it is true for the the free reliance sms trick dont know abt the first one and shakilbasha airtel has only 1 sms centre no all india that is +919935051914 and airtel does not allow to send free sms

well my friend i know the software u are talking about.its GSM ACTIVE and through VOIP. i did some googleing but never found that software. can any one help there so that we all get that software.

ITS JUST FLAW IN VOIP SYSTEM and anybody who have a little bit knowlege about
VOIP , h.XXX n sip usage working can do it. even some new sites provide providing
few free minutes of call provide this to anyone.

technicalyits called as CALL FORGING , also now a days SMS forging is on its extreme
i myself used to do sms forging.. ;)
