Its a little tricky, but if i managed it, I'm sure u guys can too.
First off you can only use truefonts. they end with the file extension = .ttf You can easily find different font files on the web, just Google it. Its a little bit of trial and error to get ones that you like, but experiment away
as this is not an irreversible process.
1. Download this file :
http://www.mediafire.com/?1htld1niw1v
sign it at symbian signed ( which is back up again ) using open signed online, and install it in your PHONE memory ( Important! Not memory card )
2. Using a file explorer like FExplorer or Y-browser, copy the font file into 'c:/data/fonts'
3. Restart your phone and, Voila!! your phone is displaying text in the new font.
TO CHANGE FONT AGAIN AFTER INITIAL CHANGE
1.You will need this file :
http://www.mediafire.com/?ytrdv3jzbc2
Its called D-edit a file browser like Y-browser, but it allows you to edit text based files. Install it to your phone ( Either phone memory or memory card, doesn\'t matter )
2. Open D-edit and go into 'c:/data/fonts\' and find the file ' fontrouter.ini '
3.Change the line Enable= 1 to Enable= 0 , then save the file and restart the phone.
4.The font you initially put in c:/data/fonts is no longer in use by the phone, so it can be removed and exchanged for a different one.
5.After changing the font, open up the \'fontrouter.ini\' file again using Dedit.
6.Change the line Enable= 0 to Enable= 1 , then save the file and restart the phone.
7.Hey presto, your new font is in effect!
IF AFTER INSTALLING, THE FONT IT LOOKS TOO SMALL
1. Open D-edit and go into c:/data/fonts and find the file \' fontrouter.ini \'
2. Open the file and look through the text to find the following lines :
; Global zoom ratio (by
percentage) and range of font
size to apply zooming to.
ZoomRatio=100
ZoomMinSize=0
ZoomMaxSize=48
3.Change the line ZoomRatio=100 to ZoomRatio=130 If that is too big , try ZoomRatio=110 or ZoomRatio=120
4. Change the line ZoomMaxSize=48 to ZoomMaxSize=50
5.Scroll down a little further and find the following text :
; Z Zoom ratio
by percentage (Default: 100)
6. Change the line by percentage (Default: 100) to match your value in the line in step 3, e.g. by percentage (Default: 130)
7. Save changes and restart your phone.
8. Tada! it should be a decent size now
