Pretty Cool rite

Heres how: You need to have a hacked phone first.....its pretty simple to hack your phone just need to install a few apps and stuff theres guides all over the place.

Now in the attachment there are two files: Menu.mif and appshelldata.xml

Your gotta have a hacked phone for this:

1. Copy Menu.mif into; C:\resource\apps\

2. Copy appshelldata.xml into C:\private\101f4cd2\content if asked for overwright allow it

3. restart your phone and thats it.

You get all the 15 special folders......enjoy

I can't install this hack. I folowed the instructions step by step aND I don't think I do some mistake can anybody help. Is this works only on N95? I just want to have the utilities folder in my menu. I got N73 with 4.0743.2.8.2 FW and my phone is hacked.

i think it does't work on N73 cause it does't have the content folder, i don have a N73 to experiment on but it is possiavke i think but in pre fp1 devices have the xml file stored somewhere else i'll see what i can do when i get hold of a n80 or n73

well if they were animated like the s40 nokia devices than it would be worth doing it...but this only increases the no of folders..so i wont prefer it..anyways its a really good Hack!!

Thanks yaar, i'm trying to figure out the animation's, i extracted the mif file and it doesn't contain them but i do know that the animations are in a file that has the extension .m3g as in the .xml all the folders which have animations have a m3g id, its only a matter of time as the phones can finally be hacked and explored

animations are in z:\resource\m3gicons\***.m3g
cheange that path in appshelldata.xml to other, find some tools for m3g editing, and that is all

it is working and teh extra folders are nice, but:
1. all ur installed apps and games shortcuts are moved in the root folder of the menu after u apply the ha*k and u have to move them again where u want them
2. u dont have the other folders inside the original folders (example: in applications u have office and media, after hack they are no more)
3. every app or game u install places its shortcut in root folder of menu
ALL THINGS MENTIONED HERE DIDNT BOTHER ME, I LIKE THE HACK VERRY MUCH !!!

yea the reason i did all that was cause:

"All ur installed apps and games shortcuts are moved in the root folder"

This cause other menu modders usually upload their menu structure eg: they have moved things here and there to suit them but everyone's got different like and all so i placed everything in the root folder and i tried to put all the related stuff like in each folder like all the actuall connectivity icons in the connectivity folder....the reason did this was so that it would be easily to organize the menu the way you want it.....

2. "U dont have the other folders inside the original folders"

Yea like i said you can organize the stuff the way you wanna and if you wanna move folders into other folders theres a trick, i'll post it people want it. (kinda hard explain so i'll lay it out with screenshots and stuff if people need it)

Ok now theres 15 special folders and i myself don even use all of there which means theres certainly alot of extra folders now theres alot of 3rd party apps out there that are real cool, like the handy applications....handy clock, handy profiles.....a whole bunch now lets say you decide to rename the folder which has the red box (installs or applications folder) to decide to rename it to handy apps and you place all the handy apps there....now by default on the regualr menu we all know that all new apps installed are placed in that red box! so if i let it that way than all the new apps would be installed in your handy apps folder! see what i'm getting at so by just leaving it to the root folder it kinda works with what ever you rename your folders....

bro i;m running it on N95-2 (20.0.016), make sure you put the Menu.mif in C:\resource\apps\ and the XML in C:\private\101f4cd2\content\

than restart the phone, it works bro

thank you very much it, it worked great on both 6120 classic and N95 rm-159, but about what wook said about not needing to restart the phone, it all depends on the way you have hacked the phone, i used fe explorer an hellocrbide to access private folders so i needed to restart the phone, i'm just saying this just so if anybody used the same way to access folders, don't think there's some thing wrong with this installation, like i said before, it works great:dance:, i really like having these 15 folder to organize all the things i have on my phone

You know different phones had diff folders, like N80 has my own, N73 had games, and some phones had internet...and so on, well i've made xml file to include all of them and total folders are 16 but special ones are 15 (1's just that regular one) and whats in them i tried to put all the related stuff in each folder like all connectivity stuff in connectivity folder.,...its all neat and you can move around delete folders and organize any way you like.
