Thread: Incredibly, improve to your GPS on 5800

Hello everyone.

This is indeed a great news for those who have NOKIA 5800.
I have no idea if it works at all or matters of location / country / we are in but does not prevent you to try.

As we all know GPS on our phones is a tragedy on the timing of which hooks into the satellite, I personally wanted to unhook while hooked and I want to throw him out.
And now what I found and which according to my opinion really does:

Go to: Settings / Phone / Application / Settings / Positioning / Positioning Server / Server Address

and chance the "Positioning Server" - "supl.nokia.com"
with this: "h-slp.mnc015.mcc234.pub.3gppnetwork.org"

Then restart the phone, it is desirable.
I would also advise you to copy the old address / supl.nokia.com / note somewhere like to have it in your phone.

Until the GPS takes time from his 2-20 min. sometimes to be hooked to satellite and now this is really, really unbelievable speed for about 10sek. - 1min. It is really amazing
Personally I tested it on 2 a telephone 5800 and 2 had an incredible effect.
Make me an impression that after the first restart hung slowly but then look and see for yourself .....
I use mostly Ndrive but I have and the latest version of Garmin and now I can say that the phone really has a true GPS.

Yes, and I did the upgrade over a month ago but nothing has changed, how i found you just comparison of Nokia E66 settings with a friend and it turned out that his is tuned precisely to this address which i gave him so GPS works perfectly.
And after I put it on my Nokia 5800 it flew straight ......
