you can try to hack your phone by method 1 first else go to method two. New firmwares are the OS of your phone if you update your phone firmware on the internet it means you have the New and Latest Firmware and it is not 100% hackable at the moment. But in your case it is just ver 200.21.118 you may try to use the HelloOx ver. 1.xx or 2.xx etc..

I am totally new to this hacking concept.First time when i heard about hacking i was totaly amused that why a phone needs to be hacked and after reading this thread i got to knew many things about hacking and about phones.Whole lot of thanks to you.I am sure that as i have whole lot of questions in my mind ,many others too. So if you can clarify the followings in a detailed way i think it will be benificial to people like me.

1. What is the benefit of hacking? Though after reading all the posts in this thread i knew that but it will be better if you make a new post clarifying the benifits of hacking in detail so that a noob like me can understand that in a easy way.

2. How can i know whether my firmware is new or old? If it is possible for you than kindly give a list of firmwares specifying old or new.

3. There are whole lot of hacking softwares like helloox, mobilesigner etc. which i read about in this thread and in other forums.In starting i was confused that when there are so many softwares each software may be needed for some different task but after reading your thread completely i come to the conclusion that all the softwares have one main aim and i.e. to hack the phone (only there developers are different), am i Right?

4 A . It is written at many places that some softwares require more permissions than others and as such there are different kind of certificates. Can you explain what is the difference between the certificates?
4 B. Whether Certificates issued by OPDA , Imobile and SYMBIANSIGNED are same or if there is a difference, what is the difference and than which one is better?
4 C. Is there any other site(s) which issues the certificate?
4. D. Is there any harm in giving my imei no to these sites?
4. E. I have read somewhere that the certificate issued is wrong. How can i confirm whether my certi is right one or not?
5. A. Can i in any damm way by installing/uninstalling these cracking/other softwares make any damage to mobile in such a way that it just refuses to start.If no i will be very happy to try all these stuff.If yes what precaution should i take?

I'm trying to modify my active standby screen according to rommel9772
guide, but I get stuck on step 2.

I push 1 to copy z:\resource> AIPluginDefinition.rsc ( I also tried to push 2 to move it but I get the same error)
Then when I try to copy it to c:\RESOURCE it tell me
Can't open file: c:\RESOURCE\AIPluginDefinition.rsc

If anybody knows what I'm doing wrong please let me know.

Active standby calendar modification
After modifying active standby display (according to the relativepost), I was left with the organizer/calendar plugin showing the annoying &quote;No calendar entries today&quote;. I don't want to remove the plugin since I want to see the real entries when they exist.
Here is the procedure:

The resource file(s) that contain the texts are in:
Z:\Resource\CalendarPluginData.r[xx]
where [xx] is the language code.
I use English so it is CalendarPluginData.r01 mostly its .r01

The process is this:
1. Disable standby screen
2. Disable Caps/Turn Plat. Security off/Open4All
3. Copy the file of your language (CalendarPluginData.r01) in C:\Resource
4. Using X-plore open the file in hex mode (or you can copy the file in your pc and edit it there).
Here are the contents of the file:

Displayed in bold are the 3 strings:
a) No calendar entries today
b) %N conflicting entries
c) No more entries today
Displayed in red are the string lengths
Displayed in green are the position pointers
With all these in mind it's easy to modify each string, but then you'dhave to adjust the length and position bits (red and green).
But what I really want to achieve is to eliminate the first and laststrings completely. The trick is to set the length to 00 and then fill the text with space (20).
Here is what it looks like after I removed the first and last strings:

If everything went well, then the calendar line "No calendar entriestoday" should not be visible any more. Make a calendar entry for later today and you'll see that it will appear automatically in the standbyscreen. Delete it and make another for earlier today. The line "No more entries today" is not visible.

Ok i cleared the virus..And put secman on my phone but it tells me that secman will take some time to install and then nothing hapen. i have kept the phone stand by for at least 10 mins but no installation takes place

HOW TO DISABLE LIFEBLOG

Here's how to disable the lifeblog and free it from your phone memory. First you need to have a hacked phones....
Free Memory deleting Lifeblog db file
i guess it would be helpful to many guys pissed off by the huge file size of lifeblog db file in phones internal memory.
suddenly internal memory falls to 144k due to the large lifeblog.db file in
c:\data\lifeblog\database\ .which u cant delete for now.
1. Use jbtaskman latest version and go to tools\processes and try finding LifeblogDBSERVER.exe file and kill the process
2. Now u can go to c:\data\lifeblog\database\ and delete lifeblog.db file
to free memory.
3. Now restart phone and repeat step 1
4. Again go to c:\data\lifeblog\database\ and change the attributes of lifeblog.db file to 'hidden' and 'read only' using xplore.
5. Again restart phone and search for LifeblogDBSERVER.exe using jbtaskman. Hopefully it wont be there to cause any further troubles.

Hey man.You have done great work, and as I read your thread, it seams U have done a lot for community.Now, I would like to ask for advice, I have followed your procedure, and yes Lifeblog is no more.But now, every time I start-reboot-restart my n82, installer pop up, and start installing something (lifeblog I think), and I can't open JBtaskman in time to kill it.Any words of wisdom?
