why not use nokia map 2.0 version, download the maps u like ( a certain website have this)... install nokia map 2.0 then extract the map in ur memory (8gb) in E:\Cities, and then run your internal GPS or external bluetooth GPS ( i recommend).. do not use gprs.

I have'nt used Garmin or Route66 so cant comment on that .. I've used Nokia maps before they removed the "start tracking" feature which is highway robbery..... Nokia maps are okay but u will need to pay to activate voice guidance with navigation .....
TomTom is excellent.... i've been using it for a while now and its the best for me on the N95 .... here's the link with all the users inputs .....

best download it quickly before it is permanently removed from this site ....

ive got tom tom, route 66 and garmin mobile xt on my n95 8gb , but i think tom tom is prob the best but i think it uses up more battery becuase the GPS and BLUETOOTH have to be on, while i use it.

with route 66 and garmin this isnt the case.

if you can get tom tom or garmin both seem ok

hope this helps

wel to be quite honest,Tomtom uses much less bateery life than Nokia maps.... also, once you get a GPS signal lock, you can actually turn off the bluetooth and still navigate ...

Depends on the country you reside in. Tom Tom and Route 66 maps are limited to certain countries. As for me, I've tried most of the third parties GPS softwares available and I find that Garmin Mobile XT is still the best and the maps are pretty easy to find whether getting it from Garmin sites or by third parties Garmin map sites where they have their own websites devoted to updates and info for the Garmin products. As you know Garmin is one of the leading inovators in the GPS world.

Hi pspezone,

Give GARMIN a go, so far this is the best for me search for it in this forum it has been upgraded a few times and as for the maps, go to malsingmaps as the maps are updated often. With that said you'll know that you will always have an updated map.
