Tell me plz how to copy sms from memory card(n70)
just use nokia pc suite bundled on your cd :D

IF you switched from phone memory to memory card... your n70 will ask if u want to copy your messages to the new location.

here is the procedure
1. Open your N70
2. Go to messaging and click option
3. Choose settings and click other
4. change memory use to mmc card
5. Your N70 will ask if u want to move your message to your MMC card...

dude do one thing use fileman it is a system explorer and go to C drive which is ur phone memory there go to system folder and from there copy the "mail" folder n go to memory card and and oopen system and paste it there k do u fileman if u dnt'v let me no ill get u k tey this and add rep...and thanks button tooo..

If you do that, you can't safe any old SMS on your memory card. Even, sometimes, you can't read your SMS had just moved. Are there any way to save without delete old SMS on this cell !:danger:

just as ab_1289 said but instead go to e/private/1000484b/and copy the mail2 folder to your pc
and just copy this folder to same location on your new cell
works on my N73 dont know about N70

Install some kind of Filemanager, go to Phone>System and delete "Mial" folder; (If you want to copy from MMC to Phon)

now go to Messeging>Setting>Other>Memory in Use and change it to Phon/MMC, You'll get the option to move or copy the messages;

use sms exporter or sms manager that will create a text file of all ur sms

or u can copy mail folder to ur phone memory or card memory by using file manager
path
e:\system\mail

to

c:\system\mail

i have already using n70 before that i was using 7610 i just copy my mail folder to my new memory card and now all my sms in my n70

use mumsms. with that you can do anything you want to your messeges

Im using N70 and I cant copy or move the file C:\System\mail\index
I can do nothing to the file index
So I cant restore my sms from memory card

1-click on message from menu.
2-go to messge setting.
3-select memory card option .
All ur memory card message ll appear in ur inbox n u can copy all ur messages to phone memory.

Are you paying attention to Sire's post? THAT method works. You can't just tinker away with individual folders in the system folders like that, you really dont know what folders are really moved or copied by your phone during message operations. Iv'e done that method skillions of times evertime i reformat my phone. Clear?

:cool: :happy: It`s Simple!


First, Go To Your Massaging Menu And Option -->> Setting
Then Choose Other
In Other Menu, There is A option "Memory in Use".Select Memory Card.
Phone Will Ask to Copy Message to Memory card.Press Yes!
After Copied Messages to MMC card, Again Select Messaging Memory As Phone Memory.
Messages Will Copy, Then If You Want to get messages to another phone, Just Use FExplorer Or Any System Explorer And go to E: Drive.
Then Go to System Folder & Choose Mail.
Press 1 in Keypad.
Go Somewhere (Other Folder in MMC or Any etc.) And Press 7 in Keypad.
Wait Untill Copying Messages!

If you switched to memory card,and u did not copied the smses to it,u can read them again,by switcing back to your phone memory.They are not deleted,u can allways find them in your inbox.
