i feel very sorry for what happened to that thread.
Even i'm not a pinoy, i got no hard feeling to anyone just because they r pinoy n conversing in tagalog.
But the law of dotsis stated that only english must be used as the lingua franca, usin other language sparingly r allowed however.
Honestly eljay, if i understood tagalog, i could just edit the posts, to give it an english translation.
English is needed so that everybody could understand what is going on.
I know, i don't have a very good reputation among the pinoy 'cause on 2 occasions i voiced out my thoughts.
Once, becoz a senior member was rude to another, i was called drama boy by him too.
2nd. To a junior member, 'cause he was just promoting his site, without even trying to solve a problem hilited by the original querying member.
But, ironically eljay, my best friends in dotsis r pinoys.
Eljay, there r a couple of ways that we can handle this matter.
Reopening the thread in it original language format is totally out of the question.
But, if u guyz could cooperate, by setting up a group of translator that could help to receive all queries fm those who could only speak tagalog via pm, translate them to english n post it in the open forum, or straight away post the query n answers if u could solve it, so that others could learn, then i think it might work.
We could post the names of the volunteers in the new thread.
For those who got no problem with english, they could just post their queries n answers in the open forum.
I will need a few very active members to hilite any post that's posted in tagalog in the open forum, so that we could edit it to english.
U talk with all the active users n let me know who wants to help.
U guyz could also come out with ideas of how n who.

ya, me I talked personally to globe's camp.......

how sad to none 3g phone.....

even non-3g phone can avail free streaming by using default realone player or roktv. Using realone player, only 1 channel can be access (abs-cbn). Using roktv, the 4 free channels can be access because it's maximum bandwidth in network settings is 120.

@macmac2006 do you have saved url of 4 channel in realone player? Using fexplorer/seleQ copy the urls from video folder either from c: or e: drive and paste it in roktv folder at c:\system\apps\roktv\media\demo....open roktv: in setting use myGlobe Stream as default access point. Set the bandwith @120.... If you dont have the myglobe stream setting pls refer to previous pages... The streaming is still free for all 4 channels. Other channels updated by roktv are still charged 15cents/kb

gma is always working with my phone.. but when i use roktv to watch channels, it always displays blank screen? why is that so?

Getting Started with YehBA*

I think this is way off-topic here... I know nokia provides instructions on how to use the phones as modems, I suggest you go to nokia or globe (or smart if thats your network provider). Still... the phone can be linked to the pc via a cable or bluetooth and if you have nokia pc suit, i suggest you look at the help file there, it may have clues or the procedure itself on how to use your phone as a modem. (yet i suggest you don't because the phone would dial a phone number and charge you for the call per minute which is roughly about P 8.00 i think or if not it would charge you P 0.15/ Kb you use it for.

FREE BROWSING TECHNIQUE (FBT) in the philippines (GLOBE users only)
These technique works as january 2, 2007. To begin these are the requirements to begin with the FBT:
1. Must have an internet browser i prefer OPERA BROWSER, but also you can use NETFRONT or default browser would do also.
2. you must have access point or GPRS settings (myGLOBE iNET or myGLOBE CONNECT, some SIM cards do not support myGLOBE iNET), in case you dont have, create an SMS and write GO N6630 ,,1234 and send it to 2951. (if you are using 6600 change 6630 to 6600, depends on the unit you use
3. If you use OPERA or NETFRONT browser, set shortcut keys for bookmarks, settings and stop/reload.

FREE BROWSING TECHNIQUE:
1. Open your internet browser then bookmarks.
2. Add these two bookmarks/url
http://www.dotsis.com/?type=send
http://www.dotsis.com/?bb%type%send
name it 1 and 2.
3. To begin first click the bookmark 1, wait for the notice (please reload your account...) to show.
4. click the bookmark 2 then you are now access dotsis or if you want to open other websites, load it about 5 to 10 seconds, these technique has limited time only (about 1min or less). A notice will appear.
5. If notice appear contains "please reload your preapaid account" then do these followings steps repeat the 4th step and then stop and reload it then you can browse again, just repeat the whole process.
If notice appear contains "please try again after a few seconds" then do these followings steps: these notice show only if you are in standby mode for too long. To browse again repeat 3rd and 4th step, you will notice that while doing the 3rd step, the notice keep showing all over again, just be patience wait for the notice "please reload..." to be able to browse again.

you need to do the trick again from the very first step.. that's how we master the trick..

there is this sun cellular trick before.. i dont know if it still works now.. there are two methods... the one in which you are going to need two sim cards and the other one is by just changing their IP's..

2.you go to any site which is outside globe..
3.again go to a site outside globe..

5.voila!!

dude you need to bookmark every page you want to visit.. like for example, after logging in and notice appears, what will you do? log-in again? no, what you need to do is add the redirected page and when notice appears do the FBT and after finishing the trick, go to your bookmark and select the one you just bookmarked.. ^^

i used to browse dotsis using my phone before.. my s60 phone.. but then it got snatched thats why i was inactive all those times.. ^^,

Just wanna share guys... Im using opera 6.2 on my n-gage CL.. I already enjoying the new fbt. Im using the 2nd bookmark extension(?bb%type%send) and use it as my default homepage. Everytime i browse and the notice appear, i just press key#4 (shortcut for homepage) after 3 secs. press cancel, press option and reload.. It is easier than opening bookmarks(slow opening if there are many saved bookmarks)... With regards to logging-in dotsis or any website using mobile make sure to check the "remember me" box so that on your next visit you are automatically logged-on... Hope this post could help...

i think mahihirapan mag fbt sa smart... Talagang smart sila, pagkakaalam ko kasi sa smart bago ka mkapagbrowse ng other site, dadaan at dadaan k muna sa sariling site nila. Dun pa lang parang filtered na kung sino ang meron at walang available credit pambrowse. Unlike sa globe kahit hindi ka na dumaan sa site nila pwede ng dumirecho sa desired na puntahang site.. Pero malay natin, baka isang araw magkaron na rin ng fbt sa smart..

you shud use two browsers, an opera and netfront...
use netfront as page reloader and opera as your browser..

1. in your netfront, edit your homepage as h**p://www.yahoo.com/%
or you can use any address as long as you put /% at the end of the url address... for ex. h**p://jeff316.tk/%
2. connect to your newly edited homepage, and while connecting, you can notice the earth icon rotatin.. immediately open your opera and browse for any site you want.... do not exit netfront, juz minimize....

and there you go...
when the notice appears, juz go to your netfront and reload your homepage....and repeat the process...

mukha po rereformat mo na nga phone mo.. nauubos din kasi phone memory kapag install ka ng install ng kung anu anu sa mmc.. tapos kahit uninstall mo, may matitira pa din, kaya pagnaipon mga yun, mapupuno pa din phone memory mo.. kasama na jan yung mga ininstall mo dati na inalis mo, kala mo wala na pero may tira pa.. format mo na po.. sure yun, balik parang brand new phone mo.. yun lang pati lam ko paraan para maalis mga tirang yun..

1. pag ni-restore ko b ung backup ko ng fone memory, babalik din ba ung mga "unwanted files" ko? (kc wen i checked sa fexplorer kung gno kalaki ung backup ko, 1.4mb lang.. nka-compress ba un kya gnun lang kaliit? or contacts, msgs, calendar entries, etc. lang tlga ung nsave/backup kya gnun?) if babalik din ung mga unwanted files, meron bang ibang way pra msave ung msgs? (mdali lang kc ung contacts e..)

2. mgfufunction prin ba ng maayos ung mga apps ko sa mmc? (kc bka mamya khit na sa mmc un nka-install e meron plang subfolder/file ung apps ko sa fone memory na kylangan pra mgfunction ung apps ng maauz)

3. mg-iinstall aku ulet ng anti-virus.. (wats d best AV dat u can recommend?)

4. wala bang mngyayaring khit anu sa fone ko after mreformat? (other dan bblik sya sa orig settings?)

5. wat else shud i know? (dhil obviously para akong alien... hehehe.. wla kc akong alam sa mga gnto..)

1. kung may back up ka, ok lang yun. palagay ko di na kasama unwanted files nun, kasi nakatambak na lang yun sa memory, di na madetect ng phone kapag uninstall di ba, siguro pati pagback up din. kaya siguro pati 1mb lang back up mo. pero di ko pa natry magback up. hehe.

2. pag .jar files, after format di na magffunction pero pede mo reinstall, nandun lang yun sa e:/system/midletsm, makikita mo mga folder na sa loob may installer. pag .sis, kalimitan magfufunction pa din, kasi di ba minsan folder lang copyahin sa mmc gagana na. pero depende, minsan nakaexperience din ako ng sis na di gumana after format, palagay ko yun yung mga may nakalagay na cracked by kung sino man, at syempre yung mga app na niregister via keygen, babalik sa trial. kaya ako nagsasave ako sa notepad ng keys e. hehe

3. Zeon antivirus, kasi inaalis nya lahat ng common virus ng di nagcacrash ang phone unlike sa iba. popular nga na brand tapos nagpeprevent lang. e yung zeon disinfector na din. tapos kaya din alisin yung common na kumakalat na virus na commwarrior.c na madalas maencounter sa public place pagopen bluetooth mo. search mo lang "zeon" lalabas yun..

4. pagnireformat mo phone mo, balik sa dati parang bago. gaya nung binili mo pa. yun lang nga yung settings, calendar, time at date aayusin nanaman

5. basta full batt before format.. di naman pati matagal yun.. kakatakut talaga sa first time, pero pagnasanay ka na, ok na.. hehehe

of course not every1 knows of sites like dotsis so dey hav no idea dat dey can do it themselves.. like for example, nung binili ko 2ng fone ko sa isang shop sa sm, dey told me na lalagyan daw nila ng anti-virus wid an additional charge of P300 yta or P350 (which is ung netqin nga).. xempre ntakot nman ako dhil bka mgka-virus ung fone ko e kakabili lang.. e super inosente p ko nung mga panahong un.. dito ko lang nman sa dotsis nlaman ung mga bgay na alam ko na ngaun about my fone.. hehehe..

magreklamo daw ba dito.. hehehe..

remove your MMC pag nagformat ka ng phone memory.. remove any fonts.. dapat fully-charged ka.. dapat wag mamatay ang phone mo habang finoformat mo..

correction lang po mga sir!! di po lahat ng tech eh ganun,or 99% ganun po sila...kaya po ganun ang singilan eh kasi po nag babayad din po sila ng pwesto,ng kuryente,ng connection sa internet, etc.. kaya dun lang po nila binabawi yun... sana po maintindihan din po ng iba itong post ko......

sabagay, marami nmn mga binabayaran ng mga cp shop pero dapat nga eh puro tama ang ginagawa nila para bumalik mga customer nila.

mas maganda parin tlga na may kakilala kang technician. ako nga eh sobrang wala na ako tiwala sa mga shops(no offense sa mga may cp shops) eh nag aral na akong magbukas ng cp. ako na rin ang nagpapalit ng housing ng 3230 ng tita ko. bumili kc sya ng fake na housing then yung sa may camera lens eh hindi clear. kaya 2loy puro out on focus mga nakukuhang pics. binalik ko nlang yung original. Mahirap pa nmn maging wais na mamimili.
dapat nga ang nasa mga seller ang responsibility na dapat laging cheap at good quality mga binebenta nila. hindi dapat nasa mamimili ang burden na dapat tau ang wais.

well kung totoong virus lang ang sira natural lang po na maliit ang singil.... pero po kung talagang nagloloko na ang phone kahit wala na pong virus at na reprogram na ang unit eh ganun pa rin,tapos pag bukas mo ng unit eh panay repair na pala or kung tawagin natin ay "RECON",talagang magpapalit ka na ng pyesa.... at ang pyesa po ay talagang mahal at wala pong warraty pag kinabit at sumablay di kasalanan ng vendor yun...kasalanan ng nagkabit so anung gagawin ulit? diba bibili ulit ng bago? so ganun lang po yun.......

sir it depends upon the sitwation..... yung "KAKAHUYIN" eh actually di po nakakahoy ang mga ganitong unit, unless kung talagang magaling ang tech. na kayang ilipat lahat ng parts.... kasi once na nawala,or nag palit ng "flash ic" halimbawa... ang mangyayari nun mag iiba na ang "IMEI" or "SERIAL" ng isang unit un less kung ililipat mo pang silang pareho... pero matrabaho na yun at baka bumigay pa ang unit.... kasi po dito sa amin bumibili talaga kami ng parts di na "NGANGAHOY" hehehehe.....


sa programming naman po eh ganun po talaga kung pero pwede na ibaba yun kasi 7650 lang naman at depende din po kasi yan sa unit kaya may mahal may mura kaya kung di na kaya ng format or anti-virus program na katapat nun kasi po ang isang gadget na pang program eh mahal din po yun di po yun nakukuha ng libre....may mga gadget pa nga na umaabot 19k isang "BOX" kaya yung iba binabawi na lang nila dun.....
