People who succeeded on flashing there original N70 to music edition pls post here.

is there anybody who succeeded on debranding there original n70 to n70 music edition using nss and flash it using nokia software updater or by using phoenix 2006?

pls post your results in this thread if any of you had success or failure and put your observations while doing the process im sure a lot of n70 users would like to know your info as well:beer:

I've tried it on my n70 and succeeded without a hitch, only noticed that the music edition is a bit slower in response time than the normal n70. the media key is (if left in default settings and the phone not restored to backed up settings - it works for me, the file systems seem to be very compatible) suddenly permanently changed into the music key (long press turns on the radio) and lastly, i noticed that very often when you back up the phone to the memory card, you either slow down tremendously or hang (battery goes out then in again...) but the backed up data seems to be intact.

Ok thank you for your infos... how about N70 Internet Edition have this Firmware or not?

actually, there really isnt a lot of firmware difference in the internet edition, just differences in bundled software and hardware (like the memory card)

Also instead of the versatile media key of the normal n70 you get a hard wired (cant change it) internet key where you get the services said above. I just noticed that the software versions for n70 normal and music edition are the same so basically if you get the latest, its the latest for the series.

Lastly nokia said that the internet version will be coming into asia first (but I havent seen one in the stores or nokia asia/ph site)

Just connect your n70 to your cable and pc then start your nokia software updater, you'll get the latest firmware. Basically with the above method for reflashing your n70 all you need is the cable that came with it and the software posted in the above thread.

If u think u can update your N70 to music edition then nokia no need to present Nokia N70 music Edition lo man....
