View Full Version : Internet connection with a Nokia 6600 via MacOSX and bluetooth

1.

System Preferences/Bluetooth
Set up new device. Add the Nokia 6600.

2.

Applications/Utilities/open Bluetooth Serial Utility
New...
Name: Bt
Port Direction: Incoming
Port Type: RS-323
No other changes.
Confirm with ok.
Quit.



3.

see this Apple Scripts below
(If the Mac is connected via Ethernet to the internet, start the "Share Ethernet to Bluetooth" script.
You will be asked for the admin password.
(If you want to stop the bluetooth sharing, run the "Stop Sharing to bluetooth" script.)
(Sometimes you will have to reboot to start the share script again)


4.

Download gnubox6600.SIS.
Install the App on the Nokia 6600.

5.

On the Nokia 6600:
Tools/Settings/Connection/Access points/Options/New access point (use default settings)
Connection name: Bt
Data bearer: Data call
Dial-up number: anything (eg 5555)
Authentication: normal

Options/Advanced settings
Primary name server: 192.168.0.1
Use ppp compresion: yes
back/back

6.

Start gnubox
Options: 2box Direct/bluetooth
(If you don't want to surf any more, change this back to 1box Phone.)

thanks for ur information. what about internet connection with a Nokia 7610/N73 via Windows XP service pack 2 and bluetooth? is this connection involve money or not? and is this act illegal and a part of criminal?
