Increase Your Bandwidth By 20%!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Increase your Bandwidth by 20%
Windows uses 20% of your bandwidth! Get it back
A nice little tweak for XP. M*crosoft reserve 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes (suspect for updates and interrogating your machine etc..)
Here's how to get it back:
Click Start-->Run-->type "gpedit.msc" without the "
This opens the group policy editor. Then go to:
Local Computer Policy-->Computer Configuration-->Administrative Templates-->Network-->QOS Packet Scheduler-->Limit Reservable Bandwidth
Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab :
"By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.
works on XP Pro, and 2000
other OS not tested.

1. Disable Indexing Services
Indexing Services is a small little program that uses large amounts of RAM and can often make a computer endlessly loud and noisy. This system process indexes and updates lists of all the files that are on your computer. It does this so that when you do a search for something on your computer, it will search faster by scanning the index lists. If you don't search your computer often, or even if you do search often, this system service is completely unnecessary. To disable do the following:
1. Go to Start
2. Click Settings
3. Click Control Panel
4. Double-click Add/Remove Programs
5. Click the Add/Remove Window Components
6. Uncheck the Indexing services
7. Click Next
2. Optimise Display Settings
Windows XP can look sexy but displaying all the visual items can waste system resources. To optimise:
1.Go to Start
2. Click Settings
3. Click Control Panel
4. Click System
5. Click Advanced tab
6. In the Performance tab click Settings
7. Leave only the following ticked:
- Show shadows under menus
- Show shadows under mouse pointer
- Show translucent selection rectangle
- Use drop shadows for icons labels on the desktop
- Use visual styles on windows and buttons
3. Disable Performance Counters
Windows XP has a performance monitor utility which monitors several areas of your PC's performance. These utilities take up system resources so disabling is a good idea.
To disable:
1. download and install the Extensible Performance Counter List
2.Then select each counter in turn in the 'Extensible performance counters' window and clear the 'performance counters enabled' checkbox at the bottom.button below.
4. Speedup Folder Browsing
You may have noticed that everytime you open my computer to browse folders that there is a slight delay. This is because Windows XP automatically searches for network files and printers everytime you open Windows Explorer. To fix this and to increase browsing significantly:
1. Open My Computer
2. Click on Tools menu
3. Click on Folder Options
4. Click on the View tab.
5. Uncheck the Automatically search for network folders and printers check box
6. Click Apply
7. Click Ok
8. Reboot your computer
5. Improve Memory Usage
Cacheman Improves the performance of your computer by optimizing the disk cache, memory and a number of other settings.
Once Installed:
1. Go to Show Wizard and select All
2. Run all the wizards by selecting Next or Finished until you are back to the main menu. Use the defaults unless you know exactly what you are doing.
3.Exit and Save Cacheman
4.Restart Windows
6. Optimise your internet connection
There are lots of ways to do this but by far the easiest is to run TCP/IP Optimizer.
1. Download and install
2. Click the General Settings tab and select your Connection Speed (Kbps)
3. Click Network Adapter and choose the interface you use to connect to the Internet
4. Check Optimal Settings then Apply
5. Reboot
7. Optimise Your Pagefile
If you give your pagefile a fixed size it saves the operating system from needing to resize the page file.
1. Right click on My Computer and select Properties
2. Select the Advanced tab
3. Under Performance choose the Settings button
4. Select the Advanced tab again and under Virtual Memory select Change
5. Highlight the drive containing your page file and make the initial Size of the file the same as the Maximum Size of the file.
Windows XP sizes the page file to about 1.5X the amount of actual physical memory by default. While this is good for systems with smaller amounts of memory (under 512MB) it is unlikely that a typical XP desktop system will ever need 1.5 X 512MB or more of virtual memory. If you have less than 512MB of memory, leave the page file at its default size. If you have 512MB or more, change the ratio to 1:1 page file size to physical memory size.
8. Run BootVis - Improve Boot Times
BootVis will significantly improve boot times
1. Download and Run
2. Select Trace
3. Select Next Boot and Driver Trace
4. A Trace Repetitions screen will appear, select Ok and Reboot
5. Upon reboot, BootVis will automatically start, analyze and log your system's boot process. When it's done, in the menu go to Trace and select Optimize System
6. Reboot.
7. When your machine has rebooted wait until you see the Optimizing System box appear. Be patient and wait for the process to complete
9. Remove the Desktop Picture
Your desktop background consumes a fair amount of memory and can slow the loading time of your system. Removing it will improve performance.
1. Right click on Desktop and select Properties
2. Select the Desktop tab
3. In the Background window select None
4. Click Ok
10. Remove Fonts for Speed
Fonts, especially TrueType fonts, use quite a bit of system resources. For optimal performance, trim your fonts down to just those that you need to use on a daily basis and fonts that applications may require.
1. Open Control Panel
2. Open Fonts folder
3. Move fonts you don't need to a temporary directory (e.g. C:\FONTBKUP?) just in case you need or want to bring a few of them back. The more fonts you uninstall, the more system resources you will gain.

Elevator Hacking
Tired of being on an elevator and someone else gets on every floor you go down to? Well I was also, until I found out you could skip the floors that people would like to get on at. This works best in big office buildings with 30 floors and it sometimes takes like 15 minutes to get to floor 1. This is a really simple trick to do just to let you readers know.
Okay, the only thing you need to do is press down the close door button, and the floor you would like to go to at the same time.
Then it should skip all the floors that people want to get on and go straight to your floor that you would like to get off on. This can also piss some people off I would imagine. This trick has also worked on all the office elevators I have tried so far.
I find it works the easiest on:
Otis Elevators
Dover Elevators
And Most Desert Elevators
So have fun causing total elevator mayhem

FireFox has taken the net by storm since it first appeared on the scene. Nearly ever 'computer geek' now uses it as their primary browser. Extensions are a popular way to customize your FireFox. There are also some 'hacks' that you can do to improve preformance. We will cover some of them in this post.
Stopping Pop Up Ads in FireFox – This use to never be a problem but of late webmasters have been finding ways to sneak popups threw to FireFox try this to stop many of them.
Type about:config into the Firefox location bar.
Right-click on the page and select New and then Integer.
Name it privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins
Set the value to 2.
Fix FireFox Flash Plug-in Memory Leak – If you have installed the Flash Plugin for your FireFox you are suffering a memory leak, do this to fix it.
Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
Right click any line to bring up a sub-menu
Choose "new">"integer"
Paste this into the dialogue that appears: browser.cache.memory.capacity
Next click Okay
Specify the amount in kb (about 60000 should do) in the next dialogue that appears
Restart Firefox
Some other various hacks (improve load times and general speed)
Type about:config in the address bar, Then look for the following
entries, and make the corresponding changes.
Find browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs and double click on it so
it = true
network.http.pipelining "true"
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests 100
network.http.proxy.pipelining "true"
network.http.max-connections 60
network.http.max-connections-per-server 32
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 8
Lastly right-click anywhere and select New- Integer. Name it
nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is
the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.Enjoy!!

This Tutorial is only for educationaL purpose.Do not harm others system without his/her permission.I think, the more u will know how to break system, the more u will learn how to protect urself.
This tutorial is originaly writen by me.Here i will show how to break windows security with exploit.Im using (MS05-039) Microsoft Windows Plug-and-Play Service Remote Overflow Universal Exploit for this tutorial.
A remote code execution and local elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Plug and Play that could allow an attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability to take complete control of the affected system.

This truck is for Download automatic from links rapidshare.com and others, whiout insert the request code manually.
Rapidshare since changed their Captcha Images so the program above became unuseable. Though, some very nice members of a german communitiy made it possible again:
- Enter any Link from rapidshare.com oder .de and many other hosters
- Get a full automatic download from rapidshare (it recognises every code by itself)
- Automatically get a new IP after a Rapidshare Download is finished (can be turned off)
--> Everything fully automatic, no need to stay at PC the whole Time
With the pack, I created a small readme.pdf . Please go through all the steps one by one. It uses ABBY Finereader to recognise the code.
Here's a list of all supported Routers: routercontrol.de (url)
For all modem users, there is a good way for you to get a new IP, the way is included in readme.pdf
There are a few background information in the first thread. I can give help for Routercontrol, USDownloader and ABBYY but I don't have a modem, I will do what I can to help you.
Code:
http://rapidshare.com/files/9388419/USDpack.zip
Password: sharetoeveryone
The autochanging IP dont work forme whith Modem usb,but the autodown yes Work fine.
-If anybody can Autorotate your IP whit a modem usb what comunik.

Ever experienced this? You ask Google to look something up; the engine returns with a number of finds, but if you try to open the ones with the most promising content, you are confronted with a registration page instead, and the stuff you were looking for will not be revealed to you unless you agree to a credit card transaction first.... The lesson you should have learned here is: Obviously Google can go where you can't. Can we solve this problem? Yes, we can. We merely have to convince the site we want to enter, that WE ARE GOOGLE. In fact, many sites that force users to register or even pay in order to search and use their content, leave a backdoor open for the Googlebot, because a prominent presence in Google searches is known to generate sales leads, site hits and exposure.
Examples of such sites are Windows Magazine, .Net Magazine, Nature, and many, many newspapers around the globe. How then, can you disguise yourself as a Googlebot? Quite simple: by changing your browser's User Agent. Copy the following code segment and paste it into a fresh notepad file. Save it as Useragent.reg and merge it into your registry.
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Googlebot/2.1"
"Compatible"=
"+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html"
Voila! You're done!
You may always change it back again.... I know only one site that uses you User Agent to establish your eligability to use its services, and that's the Windows Update site...
To restore the IE6 User Agent, save the following code to NormalAgent.reg and merge with your registry:
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
@="Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)"

This is a quick and easy way to hide your stuff from prying eyes.
Now there are a few ways to hide your folders and files but these are the quickest and easyest.
Way # 1
- Right click on the folder/file
- Scroll down to Properties
- Click The hiddel box
- Click apply
Now when you want in to the folder just eather type the path in to the adress bar at the top of explorer. Or
open a folder go to tools Folder Options, Go to the View tab and click "show Hidden files and folders"
Way # 2
- Rename the new file/folder by highlighting the new folder/file and hitting f2 then holding alt and on the number pad hitting the numbers "0160" In that sequence one at a time.
Note: This should create a blank space.
- Right click on the folder/file
- Scroll down to Properties
- Click The Customize tab
- Click on "change icon..."
- Find the blank icon (should be 12 rows over beside a lock)
- Hit ok and apply
Now the folder should be gone. Now if you want to find it all you have to do is. eather highlight every thing or hit f5 (refesh) and click on it.
Note: i prefer Way # 2, It just makes it so you can click to open it. where as with way # 1 you have to eather type the path in or change your options. (it also seems just a bit safer)

Hi, everyone. Today I will tell you how to crack themexp setup files. If you use StyleXP v3.xx the you probebly will use sites like themexp for your visual styles, logon screens, boot screens, icons and thems. As you may know now a days they have compiled it into setup files and added spyware to each setup file. When you try to install any of this themexp contents it will force you to install the spyware (toolbars, ads, etc). Well I found a way around it, and I will share it with you. -- Article by F4M0S3 (please keep this article in tack if you redistribute it).
You will need this tool:
:: e_wise.arj :: Wise Setup UnPacker ::
http://kannegieser.net/~veit/programm/e_wise.arj :: Extract it with WinRAR ::
At this point I asume, you've downloaded e_wise and extracted it into your desired location we will call it "unWISE" in hard drive "C:\".
1. Go to
http://themexp.org/ and download any file you like, I will use file (
http://themexp.org/theme_control.php?mid=128259&type=icon&view=date&page=index&cat=&name=Glossy+red.zip ) for this example. The filename when download it will be "128259.exe" or something simular to that.
2. Copy & Paste the file to our "unWISE" directory and rename it to something like "red.exe".
3. Click "CTRL+R" and type "cmd /k" then when msdos windows opens up, type "cd\" when you see just "C:\>" type "cd unwise".
4. At this point you should be in your "C:\unwise" directory. Now type "e_wise_d red.exe red_done". Where "e_wise_d" is our unpacker program, "red.exe" our downloaded file from themexp and "red_done" is our destination directory for extracted files. You should see series of code flying all over the dos screen, wait till it's done.
5. Go to your "c:\unwise\red_done" directory, you should see file "00000000.BAT" click it to compile all directorys/files.
6. Now you should see "MAINDIR" directory, go to this directory. You should see spyware files in there like; atoolbar400011.exe Also you should see file "EXENAME" without extension.
7. Add .rar/zip extension to our "EXENAME" file. It should look like "EXENAME.rar" or "EXENAME.zip"
8. Now extract the file with WinRAR, go to "EXENAME" directory and you should see all the need files.
Enjoy, I hope this would help some one in need =)

After Unraring the file, Burn the iso on a cd. Choose "Boot from CD" in the BIOS, save and exit. The cd will boot to command prompt. It will ask for the drive of installation of windows xp.(This is usually c:\windows). If this doesn't work or you dunno the drive letter try %systemroot% or %windir%.
Enter the pasword of your choice and your ready to go! Enjoy!

If you are using AnyDVD or CloneDVD on your PC , there is a good chance the crack/patch has been created by Team SnD .
If you don't use either of those , you probably still use an app that has been fixed by them , like Nero 7.0.8.2 , Spyware Doctor , DVD-Cloner , WinRAR , XoftSpy , Registry Mechanic to name but a few , as so far this month they have already issued over 90 " fixes " .
In case you are interested in how they go about producing the fixes , they have produced a series of tutorials showing the basics of program cracking , showing working examples in many cases .

Abstract
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 VLK requires a VLK key to install. Commonly, for illegal users, this key is a leaked key, and thousands of piracy users use the same key to install their Windows. The problem is that the piracy users can use the product now, but not forever, because Microsoft would probably include the leaked key list in the further service packs (e.g. Microsoft prohibited several Windows XP VLK keys in service pack 1).
So, it is necessary to install Windows with different keys for different illegal users.
By tracing Windows product key verification program, I successfully extracted the algorithm MS uses (some Public Key Infrastructure), and broke the private key uses to generate product keys.
Validation Process
1. Decode
The following computations are based on this product key:
Quote:
JCF8T-2MG8G-Q6BBK-MQKGT-X3GBB
The character “-“ does not contain any information, so, the MS product key is composed of 25-digit-character. Microsoft only uses “BCDFGHJKMPQRTVWXY2346789” to encode product key, in order to avoid ambiguous characters (e.g. “I” and “1”, “0” and “O”). The quantity of information that a product key contain is at most . To convert a 25-digit key to binary data, we need to
a. convert “JCF8T2MG8GQ6BBKMQKGTX3GBB“ to “6 1 3 22 ......“, where ‘B’=0, ‘C’=1, ‘D’=2 … we call the array “6 1 3 22…” base24[]
b. compute decoded = , the result is: 00 C5 31 77 E8 4D BE 73 2C 55 47 35 BD 8D 01 00 (little-endian)
c. The decoded result can be divided into 12bit + 31bit + 62bit + 9bit, and we call theses 4 parts 12bit: OS Family, 31bit: Hash, 62bit: Signature, and 9bit: Prefix.
2. Verify
If you want to understand what I am talking about in this section, please refer to some Elliptic Curve Cryptography materials.
Before verifying a product key, we need to compute the 4 parts mentioned above: OS Family, Hash, Signature, and Prefix.
Microsoft Product-key Identification program uses a public key stored in PIDGEN.DLL’s BINK resource, which is an Elliptic Curve Cryptography public key, which is composed of:
Quote:
p, a, b construct an elliptic curve
G(x,y) represents a point on the curve, and this point is so called “generator”
K(x,y) represents a point on the curve, and this point is the product of integer k and the generator G.
Without knowing the private key k, we cannot produce a valid key, but we can validate a key using public key:{p, a, b, G, K}
1. compute H=SHA-1(5D OS Family,Hash, prefix, 00 00) the total length is 11 byte. H is 160-bit long, and we only need the first 2 words. Right lift H’s second word by 2 bits. E.g. if SHA-1() returns FE DC BA 98 76 54 32 10, H= FE DC BA 98 1D 95 0C 04.
2. compute R(rx,ry)= Signature * (Signature*G + H*K) (mod p)
3. compute SHA-1(79 OS Family, rx, ry) the total input length = 1+2+64*2=131 bytes. And compare Hash and result, and if identical, the key is valid.
Producing A Valid Key!
We assume the private key k is known (sure, Microsoft won’t public this value, so we have to break it by ourselves).
The equation in the product key validation system is as below:
Hash=SHA(Signature*(Signature*G+SHA(Hash)*K) (mod p))
What we need is to calculate a Signature which satisfies the above equation.
1. Randomly choose an integer r, and compute R(rx,ry)=r * G
2. Compute Hash= SHA-1(79 OS Family, rx, ry) the total input length = 1+2+64*2=131 bytes, and we get the first 62bit result.
3. compute H=SHA-1(5D OS Family,Hash, prefix, 00 00) the total length is 11 byte, and we need first 2 words, and right lift H’s second word by 2 bits.
And now, we get an equation as below:
Signature*(Signature*G+H*K) = r * G (mod p)
By replacing K with k * G, we get the next equation:
Signature*(Signature*G+H*k*G) = r * G (mod p)
, where n is the order of point G on the curve
Note:
not every number has a square root, so maybe we need to go back to step 1 for several times.
Get Private-key From Public Key
I’ve mentioned that the private key k is not included in the BINK resource, so we need to break it out by ourselves.
In the public key:
Quote:
K(x,y) = k * G, we only know the generator G, and the product K, but it is hard to get k.
The effective method of getting k from K(x,y) = k * G is Pollard’s Rho (or its variation) method, whose complexity is merely , where n is the order of G. (n is not included in public key resource, so, we need to get n by Schoof’s algorithm)
Because a user cannot suffer a too long product key, the Signature must be short enough to be convenient. And Microsoft chooses 62 bit as the length of signature, hence, n is merely 62-bit long. Therefore, the complexity of computing the private key k is O(2^31).

probably u going to read this question thousand maybe million times everywhere-
How to have *** FREE *** undetected trojan?
if u are not up to pay for undetectable trojan, u can go hex it, this is simple tutorial on how to hex a server, make it undetectable
big thanks & credit to Warpboy! (I do not write this tutorial)
Code:
Goal: To learn how to hex edit "trojans" or anything else making them UD to AV programs.
Definitions:
UD: Undetected
AV: Anti-Virus
FW: FireWall
*Make sure the program which you are reading this in has WORD WRAP *ON*
*And the word *Click* in the tutorial is written that way so you can easily scim through the tutorial if you would like.
_________________________________
To begin, HexEditing is a difficult and partially effective method used to make "trojans" UD. In some cases this method will not work because the AV has tagged a vital part of the code. There are a few necessities you will need:
Hex Workshop or another HexProgram (Hex Workshop is used in this tutorial)
: Download Link
http://www.download.com/3000-2352-10004918.html?part=52461%2520&subj=dlpage&tag=button
:Your Server is needed (this is what you are hexing)
:A little time and a good attitude (alwayz good) : )
__________________________________
Ok lets begin...
1) First open up "Hex Workshop" and *Click* File:Open: Find your server or whatever you are hexing and *Click* it and then *Click* open.
2) In you workfield all the HexValues should pop-up. Get familiar with the file look at certain bytes this will help you understand more.
3) Scroll down to about the middle and *Click* the first offsett on the left side. Grab it and drag down as you drag down do NOT let go or you will have to return and do it again. Keep holding it down until your at the bottom of the file Offsett 1.
4) Seeing half the file highlighted. Right *Click* and *Click* Fill. A new window should open, in the textbox instead of 0 put 00. Then *Click* Ok.
5) What you have just done is cut the file in half. The 00 byte has no values at all, another common used byte used in hexing is 90 it is the no-operation byte.
6) Ok now you have half the file filled with 00's right? Good... Point your arrow to the left hand corner. *Click* File: Save As. Save the file 1.exe. Be sure to remember the offsett you cut the file at.
7) Go to the directory you saved 1.exe in, and right *Click* it and find a tab called Scan It For Viruses with your AV logo beside it. Once its done scanning if it is detected that means the detected string is not in that half which you filled with 00's.
_How an AV detects Malware_
An AV program is very powerfull it stops about 98% of common malware from infecting your PC. Our goal like said earlier is to be apart of that 2%. An AV when it scans a file looks for a string it could be anywhere in the file. Most likely it is in the most vulnerable spot, via if you arn't carefull you could corrupt your server. The detected string is a digital string that is in the database of the AV. Have you ever seen your AV connect to the internet and look for updates? This is your AV downloading new strings that it will later use to defend your computer against malware. That is how a common AV works!
8) Ok lets move on once again, right now you should have your original server, and the detected half of your server (1.exe). Now in HexWorkshop open up your Original Server. Why we are doing this is, because the AV when it detected (1.exe) it deleted all the bytes. So now find the offsett in the middle which you started at, and pull it down or up again, but this time do not go all they way (cutting it in half). Bring it down or up about 5-10,000 offsetts from the middle point. Fill the highlighted area with 00's. Then save the file as Scan.exe, also save it as scanbackup.exe.
FootNote: The names are examples you may name them whatever you like just remember them. Also me personally i record all the offsetts i stop and start at in notepad.
9) Now in the directory you saved Scan.exe right click it and Scan it for viruses once more. If it is still detected then you have not found the offsett yet.
How you know when you find it?
You know that you have found the offsett when your AV no longer detects the file. Be sure to remember that if your AV detects the file you scanned it will delete the whole file. This is why you should always keep a backup.
10) Ok by now you should get the jist of how to find the detected string. Most AV's detect 2-3 strings sometimes though it could be as little as 2 bytes or as large as 10 strings. Continue until you find the detected strings.....
11) Ahh yes you have found them. Congratulations!!! Now your not through quite yet, just a little more to go. You have located the detected strings now you must edit them ever so slightly to make the file UD and the server to still work. Change the numbers around using the fill option explained earlier to do this. If you do it just right and things aren't to different you will have successfully HexEdited.

hi! i have read this article long time ago found it useful. It is not my work Smile the sources is from informationleak writter halla. This guide will make n00bies wake up that hacking into msn and yahoo isnt that easy by bruceforcing. Read further very useful for n00bie. EnJoy!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A BASIC GUIDE....
HOW TO HACK/CRACK WEB BASED EMAIL
by HÅ££Å:
There are alot of people who will tell you they can do it. It is more than likely that they are full of sh1t. Hotmail and Yahoo! email is pretty godd4mn secure.
First of all, if you want to screw up someones web based email account (Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc) might I suggest that you simply sign them up to as many email subscriptions as possible, and let the spammers work for you.
Another method that works with hotmail is to try to log on to their account multiple times. After a certain number of failed logins, the account will be locked, and no one (including them) will be able to access it for a certain amount of time. That length of time varies, so test it on yourself first by creating a new account, if need be.
Can you crack it?
A brute force cracking program may be able to get it, but since you'll be locked out or have to enter a randomly generated code after a few tries, I find it's worthless in most cases. A good idea is to use a sniffer, or keylogger on their computer. This is a program that tells you what was typed on a computer, and when. When you see the email address, what follows is (most likely) the PW. Simple. You can download many good ones for free. (If you can't type "download free keyboard sniffer" or "free keylogger" into a search engine, then you shouldn't be trying to do anything and are wasting my time and yours) Obviously, this is only good if you have access to the computer, as you have to set it up. Some products offer a "Stealth remote download" option but I have yet to personally see one work... at least work well. You could always use a batch file to have the target telnet you the logs... hmmmmm...
Speaking of access to the PC, if you DO have access, try some of these neat programs:
Advanced Instant Messengers Password Recovery by ElcomSoft
Recovers login and password information (stored locally) for most popular instant messengers. Please note that this program can recover your lost or forgotten password only, extracting/decrypting it from your own system
http://www.openwall.com/passwords/aim.shtm
Advanced Outlook PW Recovery by ElcomSoft
This is a program to recover passwords (including multilingual ones) to protected Personal Storage Files (*.pst) used by Microsoft Outlook (all versions: 97, 98, 2000, XP, 2003) to store e-mails, contacts etc. The program can also recover passwords to mail accounts created in Outlook 98/2000/XP/2003. All passwords are recovered instantly.
http://www.elcomsoft.com/aolpr.html
Internet Explorer Password Revealer v.1.3
displays passwords for protected sites, forms, autocomplete strings, and displays the current state of the Content Advisor Password (enabled/disabled) and allows you to switch it off. Although this is not the full version, just getting the UN is worth the DL (full version about $20 US, unless you can find a working crack)
http://www.rixler.com/cgi-bin/download.pl?file=iepasrev.zip
iOpus
Allows you to decrypt and display passwords hidden behind asterisks. It works automatically on Web pages and applications on Windows 9x and Windows NT/2000/XP
http://www.openwall.com/passwords/unhide.shtml
The fake login page is probably the easiest way to get Id's in quantity. I have no idea WHY you would want them, but all you need is a basic understanding of HTML and CGI (if applicable.. you may be able to find free form mail somewhere) This method is ideal for DSL/Cable/T* systems that have constant internet access and are found in public areas.
Go to the homepage of the type of ID's you are looking to get. (Example... if you want Yahoo Id's, go to Yahoo.com)
Click "view" on the explorer toolbar, and then "source."
Copy the source code, and save it in notepad as Yahoo.htm
Edit the 2 areas that would get you to mail, (one is a pic [img src], the other text) and change the a href= tags to go to mailYahoo.htm
Save it, and set Yahoo.htm as the homepage. (note: you may have to include the path [ie C:\WINNT\Profiles\user\Yahoo\yahoo.htm])
Go to the mail login page Again, copy the source code and save it as mailYahoo.htm
**Make sure that both of these files are IN THE SAME FOLDER OR THEY WILL NOT WORK**
Now...
Edit the UN/PW fields as if it were formmail. Enter an email address that you wish to recieve the information at. Then make a "confirmation" page (like a 'thank you for using my form' page) that is a redirection to
http://mail.yahoo.com/?.intl=us
The last part is just to cover your tracks. When someone goes to log in, they are really just sending you their UN and PW in a nice neat form. Normally, when they click the button, and it doesn't login, this causes confusion as well as multiple identical emails on your side. Thats where the confirmation page comes in. Once the mail is sent, it sends them back to the original login page again, so it appears to the user that the info they entered just reset for some reason. They may be a bit confused, but usually don't attribute it to being 5cr3w3d as much as some sort of web/software oddity. Also, this allows them to actually do whatever it is they are doing, keeps the sys Admin out of it, and removes your page from scrutiny until the next victim opens IE.
Now some may ask, "hey...wouldn't the people notice that the address is wrong in the browser?" The answer is... probably not. lol. But lets do this the right way, eh? There so happens to be a vulnerability in IE that allows you to manipulate where it lloks like the URL came from. This link explains it, and gives proof it works as well as an example:
http://www.zapthedingbat.com/security/ex01/vun1.htm
Cool, huh? Now at this point, you could even make a link on your homepage to "yahoo.com" or "msn.com" and redirect them to the fake pages you created.
This was written under the premise that you would create these pages, and then save them to disk or in email, hide them in a target public computer terminal, and set your page as the homepage in IE. This way, when they load IE, "yahoo" comes up immediatly. They click mail, fill in their info and are redirected to http://mail.yahoo.com/?.intl=us again. It will look to them as if the fields were cleared for some reason, and chances are, they'll shrug it off and try again, not knowing that they have just emailed you their password. That is better than it going back to your fake page because they would try again, and you'd end up/w muliple emails/w the same info, and after 5 or so login attempts, they'd probably alert a staff member to the problem, and your page would be found out and axed, thus completely fucking up what you worked so hard to do.
Yahoo mail also has a vulnerability that allows you to "steal" an ID. It is pretty involved, and WAY over the heads of most kids that want to know how to do it, but since you asked, you shall recieve. You can see it here:
http://www.securiteam.com/securitynews/5HP0E1FCAW.html
Also remember that the majority of people using Windows are going to be using IE to browse the web, and IE is chock full of vulnerabilites that you can exploit to accomplish your evil deeds... Arbitrary code execution being a personal favorite of mine.
REMEMBER:
The principal (as always) is to have the target be confused as little as possible, and think nothing of it. The idea is that when the target finishes their internet session and close explorer, the next target may do the same... etc etc.
-HÅ££Å
PS. Just for the record, emailing a "bot" "pw_recovery" or "admin" @ Yahoo! or MSN with something containing your email and PW is an obvious social engineering trick to get YOUR username and PW. It IS a foolproof way to crack an account, but that account is yours. Dont give your PW to anyone, EVER.

Get the serial number you need ! (For Certain Things)
* Go to Google.
* In the search field type: "Product name" 94FBR
* Where, "Product Name" is the name of the item you want to find the serial number for.
* And voila - there you go - the serial number you needed.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Quite simple really. 94FBR is part of a Office 2000 Pro cd key that is widely distributed as it bypasses the activation requirements of Office 2K Pro. By searching for the product name and 94fbr, you guarantee two things. 1) The pages that are returned are pages dealing specifically with the product you're wanting a serial for. 2) Because 94FBR is part of a serial number, and only part of a serial number, you guarantee that any page being returned is a serial number list page.
See these example searches:
"Photoshop 7" 94FBR
"Age of Mythology" 94FBR
"Nero Burning Rom 5.5" 94FBR

Click the More fields button.
Click the Burn tab.
- Check Write.
- Check Finalize CD (No further writing possible!).
- Set Write Method to Disc-at-once. (We have had Track-At-Once work as well.)
- Click the New button.
- Locate the folder C:\OS\ROOT.
- Select everything in the folder and drag it to the ISO compilation panel.
- Click the Write CD Dialog button.
Click the Boot tab.

How to delete a file when:
* Windows says 'file access denied'.
* 'File in use' error.
* Can't delete a file (insert cryptic reason).
* Rebooting doesn't help delete the file.
Despite all its quirks, Windows does do some things for a good reason. Some files need to be locked down when they are in use, otherwise you risk damaging the file or harming the Operating System. Unfortunately Windows XP seems to be plagued by files that cannot be deleted. These are frequently simple files like videos (AVI), MP3s or other seemingly harmless files. You try to delete the file, Windows waits a few seconds before announcing that access is denied, the file is currently in use and cannot be deleted. However, you know it's not in use and you just want it deleted.
If you have encountered this problem, here is a step-by-step process for trying to purge the files you can't delete. It starts with the basics for Windows XP and moves on to more involved tricks. The process will work for all recent Windows releases, but Windows XP has been causing the most the problems, so we will focus on it. Please note: we are assuming that the file is not crucial to the operation of Windows - deleting important system files can cause havoc.
1. Is the file in use? It sounds obvious but it happens. If it is being used or open, close the file and the application that opened it. For example, if it is a Word document, close M*crosoft Word.
2. If the file was opened in an application (and subsequently closed), but the program is still running, try quitting the program. Windows will lock a file because the application hasn't yet released it. This is not always Windows fault and can be the fault of the program.
3. If the file is an AVI, in particular a DivX AVI, try renaming it and then deleting it. DivX files don't get on very well with Windows XP and sometimes renaming the file can trick Windows into releasing it.
4. Reboot your PC and don't start any programs. Go directly to the file and delete it.
5. In Windows Explorer, switch to View-Details and then select View-Choose Details. Uncheck everything except the file name. This stops Windows XP trying to read the file - this problem affects many video, audio and graphics files.
6. Still no luck? OK, here is the best trick of all. Most sites give you cryptic Windows registry and DOS commands to remove a file, but the answer is so much simpler. Get a copy of MoveOnBoot. It's free and this simple tool allows you to Move, Copy or Delete files before Windows can lock or alter the files. The changes are made to your hard drive before Windows starts, hence it requires a restart of your system after you give MoveOnBoot its instructions. There are no messy boot or DOS commands, just a simple 3-step process.
Step 1: Locate the name of the file that is causing your problems.
Step 2: Decide if you want to copy, move or delete the file.
Step 3. Choose a destination for moving the file, or a new file name for the rename option (this option won't appear if you are deleting a file).
Click OK to confirm you want to process. The nice thing is that the program doesn't make you reboot straight away. It's a good idea to reboot ASAP, but if you are in the middle of something and want to wait, the program will simply run next time you start Windows.
7. If the file reappears again (check its creation date to ensure it is being recreated) and you can't make it budge, you may have trouble with spyware or a virus on your system (don't overlook the possibility it may also be an important system file). In this case you should get a good spyware removal program to scan your system.

How to bypass web filters
There are several occasions where you will be at a public terminal, and require access to a particular website that is blocked for some reason or another. How to bypass these restrictions is a very common question, and will be covered here.
Lets pretend for a moment that the Internet is made up of 26 websites, A-Z. The web filter blocks your browser from accessing sites X-Z, but not sites A-W. Simply make the browser think you’re going to A-
W. There are a variety of ways to do this:
Proxy Servers:
This is a list of http proxies. These sites may not be up forever, so you may need to search for “free http proxy” or “public proxy servers” or other similar terms.
Proxy server lists:
• http://www.tehbox.com/proxy
Now that you have a list of proxies, you would open IE (internet explorer) and click on Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced. Enter the address and port of one of the servers from the list in the proper area (http) and make sure the “use a proxy server for your LAN” option is selected. Remember to replace the proxy and port at your terminal to the original when you're done.
*Note: Some proxies listed may not work, and this method may decrease your surfing speed. By trying various entries, you’ll find one that works, or works faster.
The infamous translation trick:
Go to a web page translation site and use their services to “translate a page to English” thus accessing the blocked page through their trusted site.
You’ll notice that several translation sites are blocked, but by using less popular ones, this method can still be effective. Here is a list of some translation services. Again, these sites may not be up forever, so you may need to search for them.
Url Scripting:
Url scripting is the easiest method. It works on a select few web filters and is based on the same principal as the translation trick. By typing and address like “www.yahoo.com@www.restricted_site.com the filter will not go into effect as it recognizes the trusted site (in this case yahoo.com)
Other tricks:
Simply open the command prompt and type:
Ping restricted.com ? restricted.com obviously being the restricted site
At this point you can take down the IP address (ex. 216.109.124.73) and enter it into the browser. If access to the command prompt is also restricted, see “How to bypass restrictions to get to the command prompt.” If this article has been taken from information leak, then know that it involves anything from opening the browser, selecting view > source, then saving it as X.bat and opening it to opening a folder or browser and typing in the location of cmd.exe depending on the OS. I will not go into further, as this a completely different topic.
Use https://restrictedsite.com as referring to it as a secured site may confuse the filter.
Note: These are ancient methods that many new filters defend against, but still may be applicable in your situation. If not, a little history never hurt anyone.
Web based Proxies:
Another one of the easier, yet effective methods include web based proxies. These are simple in the fact that you just enter the restricted address and surf! Some of these have some restrictions, like daily usage limits, etc but you can also use another proxy (perhaps one that sucks, like a text only) to bypass their restrictions as well. Here is a list of some:
• http://www.guardster.com/]http://www.guardster.com/

Proxy Programs:
There are many proxy programs that allow you to surf anonymously that are more or less based on the same topics we’ve covered here. I’ve added them just to cover the topic thoroughly:
• http://www.inetprivacy.com/a4proxy/anonymous-grc.htm]http://www.inetprivacy.com/a4proxy/anonymous-grc.htm

• http://www.anonymization.net]http://www.anonymization.net ? toolbar that requires admin rights to install
Making your own CGI proxy server:
Making your own proxy server may come in handy, but I personally find that simply uploading a txt file/w a list of proxies to a free host makes for a much easier and headache free solution. If you don’t know PERL, there is code out there to help you set it up. Check out these sites for more info:
• http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy]http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy
• http://www.manageability.org/blog/stuff/open-source-personal-proxy-servers-written-in-java/view]http://www.manageability.org/blog/stuff/op...en-in-java/view
Admin Access:
When all else fails, you can simply take over the PC and alter or delete the damn filter. This method varies according to the OS (operating system) you are dealing with. Please see “Hacking Windows NT” for more information. If this tutorial has been taken from information leak, then I will go as far as to say it involves booting the PC in another OS, copying the SAM file and cracking it using a program like saminside or LC5 rather than start a whole new topic within one.

I have seen a bunch of questions of how do do this so i figured i wud put up a guide this is not my guide this was taken from another forum please be aware of this as u read.
GUIDE #1:
HENC is homebrew enabler. This handy app lets you use the devhook launcher for your TA-082 motherboard fw 2.71 PSP. It will let you emulate/boot fw 1.5 on your PSP. Instead of a fw1.5 PSP emulating/booting the fw 2.71, you are able to do the opposite. It will not matter if you have a ta-082 motherboard or not.As long as it's fw 2.71
REMINDER:THIS WILL NOT BRICK YOUR PSP OR YOUR TA-082 PSP.. THERE IS NOT EVEN A LITTLE CHANCE..THOUGH YOUR PSP HAS TO BE A 2.71 FOR THIS GUIDE TO WORK. PLEASE REMEMBER TO REPLY IF THIS GUIDE HAS HELP U ALOT.
PLEASE DON't ASK QUESTIONS RELATED TO SOMTHING LIKE THIS>>>>
1.Are u shure my psp going to be ok?
YES, it will be ok.
2.Will it brick my 2.71 ta-082?
NO, it will not brick your 2.71 motherboard/ta-082
3.Will it work with a ta-082?
Yes it will work perfectly as long as it is a 2.71 fw psp
IF U DO NOT HAVE A FIRMWARE/VERSION 2.71 PSP FOLLOW STEPS FROM 1. TO 43. TO CHECK WHAT FW U HAVE PLEASE READ #47.
IF YOUR PSP IS ALREADY ON FW/VERSION 2.71..START FROM 11.TO 43.
In this tutorial you'll find words/phrases that some of you might not know.here is wat i call 'kinda dictionary'
1.Hard reset
To hold the power switch up for 4-8 seconds.
2.ROOT menu
The ROOT menu of your psp memory stick is where your folder PSP and MP-ROOT is located.
3.MS
MS means memory stick.
4.FW
This means firmware which is another word for version.
5.thx
this means Thanks or Thank you.
6.Keavalro
This is not a 'thing',Kealvalro is a member of this site like me.
7.Link(s)
A link is something you can simply click on with your cursor and it will bring you to the site that you clicked on
8.Homebrew
Homebrew is like what you are trying to do right now. Downloading games for psp, apps, or 'hacks'.

Do you find the text ads in GMail to be annoying? If you do, you can use Firefox to hide the ads from displaying.
This trick uses CSS and the Firefox configuration file named userContent.css . Before we start modifying our userContent.css file, I would recommend that you install an extension named ChromeEdit :
Code:
http://cdn.mozdev.org/chromedit/
that simplifies the process of modifying your Firefox configuration files. So before you enter the CSS code listed below, go and install this extension (note: you’ll need to restart your browser after installation, so you may want to bookmark this page).
Now that you have CromeEdit installed, click on the Firefox Tools menu and then click on the menu item labeled Edit User Files. A new window will appear that has five tabs across the top. Click on the tab that is labeled userContent.css. Next copy the CSS code below and paste it into the userContent.css file, then click the Save button.
Quote:
#rh table[class=”metatable”]{display: none !important;}
#rh div[class=”c”] {display: none !important;}
Now, restart your browser and open GMail – the ads are gone!

Stopping Unneeded Startup Services
Along with the core operating system and programs that Windows XP runs when it starts, there is also a host of services involved. Many of these services are necessary for Windows XP to operate correctly. However, many of them are for features in Windows XP that you may not use at all. You can peruse the services and disable any service that you do not want to run. The fewer services that run, the more quickly Windows XP will boot.
Caution:
Exercise caution when stopping services. If you do not know what a service does or are unsure of the ramifications of stopping the service, leave it alone. Some services are critical to Windows XP's operations, so make sure you understand what the service is before you disable it.
To reduce the number of services that start on bootup, you can access two different areas of Windows XP. The first is the System Configuration Utility. The Services tab shows you the services that start when the computer boots.
You can stop a service from starting by simply clearing the check box next to the service and clicking OK. However, before you do so, there is another way to disable services that you may prefer because the interface gives you more information about the service in question.
Open Control Panel/Administrative ToolsServices or else select Start/Run, type services.msc, and click OK. Either way, you see the Services console.
I prefer to use the Services console instead of the System Configuration Utility because it describes what the service does. Additionally, you can double-click a service and examine its properties.
Notice the Startup Type column in Figure 4-2. This information lists whether the service is automatic or manual. Manual services are only started in Windows XP when you start a process that requires the service. Some other process may require the service that has a "dependency" relationship with it; in this case, the dependency service will start, as well. Because these services do not start automatically when you boot Windows XP, you do not need to do anything with manual services.
However, all services listed as automatic start when Windows XP boots. These are the services that increase boot time. As I have mentioned, many of them are necessary and important, so you should not stop automatic services from booting unless you are sure of the ramifications. You can get this information by looking at the Description column. Here's a quick look at common services you may want to live without:
Automatic Updates: This service enables Windows XP to check the Web automatically for updates. If you don't want to use Automatic Updates, you can disable the service. You can always check for updates manually at the Windows Update Web site.
Computer Browser: If your computer is not on a network, you don't need this service. If you are on a network, leave it alone.
DHCP Client: If you are not on a network, you do not need this service. If you are on a small workgroup, you can still increase boot time by configuring manual IP addresses (which I explore later in this chapter).
DNS Client: If you are not on a network, you do not need this service. If you are, leave it alone.
Error Reporting and Event Log: You don't have to use these services but they can be very helpful, so I would leave them configured as automatic.
Fax: If you don't use your computer for fax services, you can disable this one.
Help and Support: If you never use the Windows XP Help and Support Center (found on the Start menu), you can disable this service.
IMAPI CD-Burning COM: This service enables you to burn CDs on your computer. If you never burn CDs, you can disable the service.
Indexing Service: Your computer keeps an index of files but if you rarely search for files, the service is just a resource hog. You can stop it and turn the service to manual.
Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing: If you do not use these features, you can disable them.

You may have a number of other automatic services, depending on software and other configurations on your computer. So it's a good idea to look through the services and learn more about them. If you double-click a service, a Properties dialog box appears
Notice that on the General tab, you see a Startup Type drop-down menu. If you want to change an automatic service to manual, select Manual here and click OK. As a general rule, don't disable a service unless you are sure you will never use it. However, manual configuration allows the service to be started when you find it necessary, thus speeding up your boot time.
However, before you change a service to manual, look at the Dependencies tab (see Figure 4-4). This tab shows you which other services depend upon the service you are considering changing.
Keep in mind that services are necessary for the vast functionality you get with Windows XP. Change only those services that you understand and do not use. How you use your Windows XP computer should be the best guide in terms of optional startup services.
Tip:
The Indexing service and the System Restore service take up a lot of disk space and system resources across the board. You can live without the Indexing service but I suggest that you keep using System Restore. It works great when you are in a bind and this is one case where the loss of speed may not be worth the ramifications of not using System Restore.
Speed Tips and Tricks for Windows XP Startup
Aside from startup programs, services, and the Prefetch folder, there are a number of other startup procedures and issues you can modify to help Windows XP start faster. The following sections explore those tips and tricks.
Manual IP Addressing on Small Office/Home Networks
Windows XP is configured to help you take care of networking. It uses the TCP/IP protocol for networking in workgroups, or what you might call small office or home networks that do not use a dedicated server.
The problem is that automatic IP addressing can be slow. When your computer boots, it has to query the network to see what IP addresses are already in use and then assign itself one. If you want to speed up the boot time a bit, consider manually assigning IP addresses to all computers on the network. This way, the network computers do not have to worry about locating an automatic IP address. Because one is manually configured, the operating system doesn't have to spend time solving this problem.
This isn't a networking book, however, so I won't delve into the implications of using a manual IP address, but if you are using a computer that functions as a host computer to the Internet (using Internet Connection Sharing [ICS]), you can get into connectivity problems if you change the configuration of the IP address. However, you can still work around this problem by starting with the ICS host computer.
Select Start/Connect To/Show All Connections. Right-click your network adapter card and click Properties. On the General tab, select TCP/IP in the list of services and click the Properties button.
In the TCP/IP properties, you can see if you use an automatic or manual IP address. In the example in Figure 4-5, I have configured a manual IP address of 90.0.0.1 and a default subnet mask. The other computers on my office network each use a different IP address in the same class, such as 90.0.0.2, 90.0.0.3, 90.0.0.4, and so on. This way, each computer has a permanent IP address, which helps increase boot time. Note that if you change the IP addresses of your computers, they must all use the same subnet mask. A default subject mask of 255.255.255.0 will keep you in good shape.
Make sure you understand the implications of changing IP addresses on your network. If you have no networking experience at all, you may be wiser to leave the automatic IP addressing as is and try to gain some speed using the additional suggestions in this chapter.
Disabling Recent Documents History
Windows XP includes a feature that keeps track of all recent documents you have opened or used. The idea is that you can select Start/Recent Documents History and quickly reopen any document you have recently used. I use many documents each day and never use the feature myself. In my opinion, I can keep up with what I want to use without Windows XP doing it for me.
The bad thing about Recent Documents History is that Windows XP has to calculate what should be put there each time you boot Windows, which can slow things down. So, if you never use the Recent Documents History, it's a good idea to disable it. Here's how:
1) Open the Registry Editor (select Start/Run, type regedit, and click OK).
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mcft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.
3) Create a NoRecentDocsHistory D_WORD key. Double-click the value to open it once it is created.
4) Set the Data Value to 1 to enable the restriction.
5) Click OK and close the Registry Editor. You'll need to restart the computer for the change to take effect.
Disabling the Boot Logo
You can remove the boot logo that appears when you start Windows XP. This little tweak probably shaves only a few seconds off your boot time but seconds count if you are serious about trying to get Windows XP up and running as quickly as possible. The only negative is that if you remove the boot logo, you will also not see any boot messages, such as check disk. (But if you are not having problems with your computer, this isn't such a big deal.)
To remove the boot logo, follow these steps:
1) Select Start/Run, type msconfig, and click OK.
2) In the System Configuration Utility, click the BOOT.INI tab.
3) On the BOOT.INI tab, click the NOGUIBOOT check box option. Click OK.
Removing Unwanted Fonts
One trick that increases your boot time a bit is to lose any fonts in the Fonts folder in Control Panel that you never use. The more fonts you have, the more processing Windows XP has to do to prep all of those fonts for use. You must be a bit careful here to not remove fonts that you might want, but there is a good chance that you can live without many of them. For instance, you may have foreign language fonts and other symbol fonts (such as Wingdings) that you never use.
To delete unneeded fonts, follow these steps:
1) Open the Fonts folder in Control Panel.
2) Select Edit/Select All and then Edit/Copy.
3) Create a new folder on your desktop, open it, and select Edit/Paste.
4) In this new folder, delete any of the fonts you do not want.
5) Return to the Fonts folder in Control Panel. Right-click the selected fonts and click Delete.
6) Go back to your new desktop folder and click Edit/Select All.
7) Return to your Fonts folder and click Edit/Paste. You now have only the desired fonts in the Fonts folder.
Tip:
You can directly delete fonts from the Fonts folder without creating the secondary folder. However, I recommend the preceding steps to help ensure that you do not make a mistake in the deletion process.
Stopping Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop Sharing
In Windows XP Professional, you have two remote networking features called Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop Sharing. These remote networking features are very helpful in a variety of situations but if you don't use them, it is good idea to disable them to save boot time. You can always enable them later if you want to use them.
Note:
If you are interested in using Remote Desktop or Remote Assistance, see my book Windows XP for Power Users: Power Pack published by John Wiley & Sons.
1) Open the Start menu, right-click My Computer, and choose Properties.
2) Click the Remote Tab.
3) Clear both check boxes to disable Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop.

Speeding Up the Dual-Boot Timeout
If you dual-boot your computer with Windows XP and another operating system, you see an operating system selection menu on startup. If you typically boot into Windows XP and not the other operating system, you can speed up the dual-boot timeout value so that you do not wait so long for the boot process to select your default operating system and continue with the boot process. The default timeout value is 30 seconds but you can change this setting to 10. This gives you enough time to select the alternate operating system if you want but also speeds up the boot process. You can skip this section if you do not use a dual-boot configuration.
Follow these steps:
1) Locate the boot.ini file on your computer. It is a hidden file by default; mine is located in C:\boot.ini.
2) Open the file with Notepad (which is what opens it by default).
3) Change the Timeout value to 10 (see Figure 4-11).
4) Select File/Save and close Notepad.
Speeding Up Your PPPoE Connection
If you use a Point-to-Point Protocol connection over Ethernet (PPPoE), you may notice a delay in using the PPPoE connection after startup. By default, there is a 120 second delay but you can stop this behavior by manually configuring an IP address for the network adapter card. If you do not use a PPPoE connection, you can skip this section.
1) Select Start/Connect to/Show All Connections.
2) Open the TCP/IP properties for your LAN network interface card.
3) Manually set the IP address on the TCP/IP properties to an appropriate IP address and subnet mask for your network.
Reducing the Wait Time
When you start to shut down Windows XP, it has to quit, or "kill," any live applications or processes that are currently running. So close all applications first. However, some applications and processes are always running in the background. You can reduce the amount of time that Windows XP waits for those applications and processes to close before Windows XP kills them. Edit three different Registry settings to change this:
1) Open the Registry Editor.
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. Select WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000.
3) Select the HungAppTimeout value and set it to 1000 as well.
4) Navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop. Set the WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000. Select the HungAppTimeout \newline value and set it to 1000 as well.
5) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l. Select the WaitToKillServiceTimeout value and set it to 1000.
6) Close the Registry Editor.
Automatically Killing Tasks on Shutdown
You know the drill. You start to shut down the computer, you wait a few moments, and then you see a dialog box asking if you want to kill an application or service that is running. Instead of prompting you, you can make Windows XP take care of the kill task automatically. Here's how:
1) Open the Registry Editor.
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
3) Highlight the value AutoEndTasks and change the value to 1.
4) Close the Registry Editor.
Take Care,

Here's how to do it:
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader (replace the C if you installed on another drive, like I did).
2. Create a new folder called plug_ins_disabled.
3. Move all files from the plug_ins folder to the plug_ins_disabled folder except EWH32.api, printme.api, and search.api. There should only be these 3 files in the plug_ins folder.
4. You're done.

Find a site that lets you play music or videos using media player
e.g. ringtones/mp3 and so on.
when media player loads and is playing your music/video click File then Save Media As..
select a place to save to and rename file if you wish but dont change File Type
leave it as Internet Cache then click save.
your music/video will then download quicker than normal download speed and you will then have your file in the location you set.
BUT this won't work with every site so dont panic just try another
It has worked for me on several sites that allow you to listen to music or watch videos online

INCREASE HARDDISK SPEED
To speed up your hard disk speed we need to configure a special buffer in the computer's memory in order to enable it to better deal with interrupts made from the disk.
This tip is only recommended if you have 256MB RAM or higher.
Follow these steps:
Run SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command.
Expand the system.ini file window.
Scroll down almost to the end of the file till you find a line called [386enh].
Press Enter to make one blank line, and in that line type
Irq14=4096
Note: This line IS CASE SENSITIVE!!!
Click on the File menu, then choose Save.
Close SYSEDIT and reboot your computer.
Done. Speed improvement will be noticed after the computer reboots.
Update: The most speed improvement is visible with IDE drives, however there are reports that this tweak also does good for SCSI disks. In any case, it won't harm your system, so why not try it yourself and let me know what you find.

Ok, let's start from the beginning. We all know that Google is more than a search engine; we do use it as provider for email, mapping, news and many other services. Google is now also a free proxy service. Proxy is a device that stands between a PC and the internet, providing all the connections to the world wide web. What a proxy does is to receive all data from a requested site, so when you access web pages all data come from proxy.
What's the purpose for Google as a proxy? We often use office/school/university connections, usually those services are set to provide more safety, blocking the access to undesidered web sites (the "black list"). What you can do now is use Google translator service (language tools) as a proxy to bypass the restrictions set for our connection!
You just need to type the following URL:
http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=www.forbiddensite.com
(www.forbiddensite.com stands for the URL you need to go to...)
What you'll get is the translation (english to english!) of the page you want to see... your connection is directed to a google.com page so this page won't be blocked (would be blocked only with google.com on the black list), no matter what's the content.
Notice that the URL has been a little hacked because the parameter "langpair"(1) is set to "en|en" (english/english) so the page is processed by Google but you can keep the original language of the page (no need to translate!). If you need another language (e.g. french) you just need to set the parameter langpair to "fr|fr" and you'll be able to read french pages in french!
Last but not least: if you use this trick, you're not sure to protect your privacy, this kind of connection lets you see blacklisted pages but doesn't hide your IP address. Just go to http://www.google.com/translate?langpair=en|en&u=www.whatismyip.com to see your IP is not hidden...
That's all, dont forget to reply all your thoughts ok!!!!!
