Nintendo DS emu for S60 v3 for OMAP devices

Hey all. I want to start off this thread related to Nintendo DS emulation. looking at the rom sizes, alot are roughly the same size as GBA roms. So is this emulation possible. Do you think devices with 3D chips like N95/N93 match up to the DS specs..... lets hear your thoughts

I don't think this will be likely to happen for some time. Despite the size of the roms, emulating DS games will require quite a lot of processing power. The pc versions are barely emulating it at this stage. In a couple of years, perhaps.

As I said in the PS1 emulation thread, it's currently impossible for a phone to consider emulating (at a playable framerate) any console beyond the SuperNintendo. Not to mention NDS emulation is still not available even for a PC. The DS core is still being "studied" by the emulation experts, so until you actually see a working one on the PC with full frame rate in games, there's 100% no chance to see it on any other portable device.
It may be possible in the near future though (~1-2 years) if the phone technology advances further...but for now the specs are of no importance.
Not to mention the DS' CPU core is quite a piece of technology...not that it's super-speedy or anything, but the structure is really nicely done.

    Exactly what i said, Dummy!

Oh, and by the way, there IS a pc version in existence. I have it. Duh!
its called, NDeSmuME. You can get the DS emulator from various emulation sites. The only problem is that its a little slow but it works! Check it out yourself.

I know that there are several projects, but I meant none is fully complete.
NOTE: I consider an actual emulator every project that can run at least 40% of the games with at least 27 frames per second (60fps is considered perfect framerate).
I'm actually beta testing 2 of the projects (not mentioning names ^^)...the programmers are getting closer and closer each day =)

For PC, yes it's possible...you can visit Emulator Zone and check out the currently available projects that are capable of emulating the NDS hardware.

    Has anyone heard about No$GBA.
    seriously this emulator is undercredited
it was the 1st emulator to emulate gba fully on a pc, and is the first emulaor to do the same with nds.
seriosly you should give it a try nocash.emubase.de/gba.htm
